THE DICE – 1
[Society] – DAY
Sankalp is coming home.
Sankalp rides his bicycle down the ramp and locks it. He then goes into the
lift to the 6th floor. As the lift goes up, he stares at a dice.
FLOW: ramp -> lock -> lift -> stare
[Int. ROOM] – DAY
Sankalp throws his bag down and quickly seats himself on his study. He
tosses the dice on the table simultaneously. He braces himself, and snaps.
The dice rotates and the no. 2 comes up. He gets closer and snaps again.
The no. 2 comes up again.
[Sankalp] gets confused and remarks
What the f-
He brings his sister in and snaps again. He looks at her.
[SISTER] unimpressed, half asleep
Meh.
He snaps again for a reaction.
[Sister]unimpressed, annoyed, pretending to be amazed.
Sister then leaves.
Sankalp is underwhelmed. He picks up his phone and dials ayushman.
Ayushman is in the very next frame. Sankalp takes a look at him, then snaps.
The dice spins.
[Ayushman]
Bhai ye kaise hua?1
[Sankalp] simultaneously
Haina?!
CLOSE UP panning shot of the floating DICE,
[Ayushman]
Toh humein abhi tak kya pata hai iske baare mein?
[Sankalp]
Bas itna ki ye snap karne pe 2 dikhata hai, AND
Sankalp taps on the gloating dice and it stops floating.
[Sankalp]
So we just have to figure out-
[Ayushman]
What the other sounds are.
Both of them simultaneously get up and go.
1. Ayushman – ball pen test
2. Sankalp – Sound with tongue
3. Both of them rubbing bananas infront of the dice, (Sankalp breaks 4 th
wall)
4. Water duck whistle(cut off)
5. Bangs a belt on the table
6. Whistle continues
[Sankalp]
You know, maybe its just hand sounds.
7. Ayushman – jhak maarke waala hand sign
8. Both snap at the same time
This time, the dice spins, and gives the number 1. They look at it in awe.
Then, at each other.
Sankalp and Ayushman figure out that multiple snaps will change the
number shown on the dice.
[Sankalp]
Its only obvious, ye dice sirf snaps se affect hota hai, and agar har
snap ek unique number dera hai fir
[Ayushman]
Humein 6 bande chahiye jinse hum – chutki bajwa sake?
[Sankalp]
Uh- Exactly.
6 of their friends enter the frame and they, turn by turn, join the snap line
and unqiue numbers keep on coming. At the end, all 6 people stand in a row.
As Sankalp counts down 3, all 6 snap. The dice spins vigorously. Then, the
number 0 comes up.
Everyone looks at it, confused.
SWITCH TO WHITEBOARD SCENE
(Scene highlight – writing on the camera lens)
[Sankalp] writes on the board
2 1 4 5 3 0 and the last number is obviously 6. *pause* What the fuck could
this even mean?
[Rahul[
Kisi lottery ka number ho sakta hai.
{Sankalp}
Maine zindagi mein ek lottery nahi khareedi hai.
[Anant]
Kisi bank account ka pin ho sakta hai?
{Daksh]
Hum saari acchi cheeze kyu soch rahe hai vaise?
[Shaurya]

Everyone slowly moves towards the screen, confused.
(luv looks like disintegrated sankalp)
[Sankalp]

Hum 6 saal se dost hai.
Sankalp leans in closer.
[Sankalp]
Ey piplup! Whats up man!
They high five from the screen.
[Sankalp]
Great idea, lekin I don’t think inn 7 numbers ke coordinates ka kuch
meaning-
[Luv] Now behind everyone, infront of white board.
Ye jagah tumhare ghar se 7 minute dur hai.
He holds a picture of a haunted house with the coordinates written below.
Sankalp takes it and looksa t it for some time.
[Ext – Haunted House] – DAY
Sankalp and Ayushman stand outside the house, gazing at the haunted
house.
[Sankalp]
Tum bhaar dekho, main andar dekhta hun.
Ayushman and Sankalp separate ways. Sankalp opens the gate and enters
the house. The house is closed from outside. He unlocks it.
[Int – Haunted House] – DAY
Sankalp enters a dark, abandoned, quiet room. He sees tall stairs stretching
to the roof, and many rooms atop each other.
He gazes upon the house from the inside. Suddenly, a steel spoon falls from
above, startling Sankalp. He takes a few steps back in a hurry and bumps
into a tall, mysterious man in ripped clothes.
1. Sankalp stares at him and screams, and the man picks up his hammer
and proceeds to jab at him.
2. Sankalp dodges it and in the process falls down.
3. He screams.
4. He crawls away and runs out of the house as the man follows him with
a hammer.
5. Ayushman hears Sankalp screams and rushes in.
6. As he enters, the door of the house automatically closes and locks
itself.
[CHASE SCENE] – night UNDERWRITTEN
Chase ensues.
1. Sankalp runs for his life around the block
2. The jugnu path
3. Ends at the park.
Sankalp takes time entering the park entrance where Suryansh simply jumps
over the fence. In the fence, Sankalp trips and falls, and the man simply
jumps over the fence. Sankalp trips and falls, and the man catches upto him.
[Sankalp]
NAI SORRY SORRY-
The man puts his hand up to hit Sankalp but he stops.
[Suryansh]
S- sankalp?
[Sankalp]
Suryansh?-
Suryansh throws his hammer away, and sits down in fatigue. Sankalp gives
him water.
[Sankalp]
Tum uss ghar mein kabse phasse hue the?
[Suryansh]
Sigh Kal shaam se.
[Sankalp]
Laughs how did you even get there
[Suryansh]
Hm, pata nahi honestly. Mai ek din coaching se aara tha aur fir iss ghar
ka darwaza puri tareh se khula hua tha jo usually hota nai, and fir ekdum
saamne ghar ke mujhe ek dice dikhra tha jo mujhe chaiye tha cause mere
saare gum gye the.
Sankalp gets attentive.
[Suryansh]
Fir pata nai kya hua. Laughs
Sankalp realizes. He gets up quickly, takes the dice out of his bag and puts it
infront of Suryansh.
[Sankalp]
Okay, jab mai bolu, iss dice ke side mein snap karna theek hai?

Suryansh snaps. The dice starts to glow. It spins longer than ever. And at the
end, the number 6 comes up.

POST CREDIT –
Ayushman is stuck in the house, sitting beside the door, exhausted.
Suddenly, a metal spoon falls from the above.
