SCRIPT:
All: Once upon a time there was a dear little girl who was loved by everyone who looked at her, but most of all
by her grandmother, who gave her a little riding hood of red velvet, and she would never wear anything else; so
she was always called 'Little Red Riding Hood.'
All: One day, her mother said to her,
Mother: Come, Little Red Riding Hood, here is a piece of cake and a bottle of juice; take them to your
grandmother, she is ill and weak, and they will do her good. Do not run off the path, or you may fall and break
the bottle; and when you go into her room, don't forget to say, "Good morning”.
RRH: I will take great care.
Narrator: The grandmother lived out in the wood, and just as Little Red Riding Hood entered the wood, a wolf
met her. Red Riding Hood did not know what a wicked creature he was, and was not at all afraid of him.
Wolf: Good day, Little Red Riding Hood.
RRH: Thank you kindly, wolf.
Wolf: Where are you off to so early, Little Red Riding Hood?
RRH: To my grandmother's, I’m bringing cake and juice. She is sick, so she needs something good, something
to make her stronger
Wolf: Where does your grandmother live, Little Red Riding Hood?
RRH: Just beyond the bend in the woods, her house is under a large oak tree, you can’t miss it!
All: The wolf thought to himself,
Wolf: She must be better to eat than that old woman! I must act craftily, so I can eat both!
All: So he walked for a short time by the side of Little Red Riding Hood, and then he said,
Wolf: See, Little Red Riding Hood, how pretty the flowers are about here - why do you not look round? I
believe, too, that you should go sit there in the fields and relax.
RRH: Suppose I take grandmother a flower; that would please her too. It is so early in the day that I shall still
get there in good time.
All: So she ran from the path into the wood to look for flowers. And whenever she had picked one, she fancied
that she saw a still prettier one farther on, and ran after it, and so got deeper and deeper into the wood.
All: Meanwhile the wolf ran straight to the grandmother's house and knocked at the door.
GM: Who is there?
Wolf: It’s Little Red Riding Hood! I’m bringing cake and wine; open the door.
GM: Lift the latch. I am too weak, and cannot get up.
All: The wolf broke in the house, and without saying another a word, he went straight to the grandmother's bed,
and hid her in the closet. Then he put on her clothes, laid himself in bed, and drew the curtains.
All: Little Red Riding Hood, however, had been running about picking flowers, and finally remembered her
journey to her grandmother after a while.
RRH: Oh dear! I better get to Grandmother’s house!
All: As she reached the house, Little Red Riding Hood was surprised that the door was open.
RRH: Hello? Good morning Grandmother!
All: But Little Red Riding Hood received no answer, so she went to the bed and drew back the curtains. There
lay her grandmother with her cap pulled far over her face, and looking very strange.
RRH: Oh! Grandmother, what big ears you have!
Wolf: All the better to hear you with, my child.
RRH: But, Grandmother, what big eyes you have!
Wolf: All the better to see you with, my dear.
RRH: But, Grandmother, what large hands you have!
Wolf: All the better to hug you with!
RRH: Oh! But, Grandmother, what a terrible big mouth you have!
Wolf: All the better to eat you with!
All: Little Red Riding Hood screamed as loud as she can and ran away from the scary wolf.
Wolf: I’m going to get you; I’m going to get you!
All: Fortunately, a huntsman passing by heard the loud screams and rushed inside the house.
Huntsman: Get away from them, you terrible wolf!
All: Without hesitation, the huntsman pulled his gun out and shot the terrible wolf.
RRH: Thank you for saving my life, Mr. Huntsman. But my grandmother is still missing!
All: They heard sounds of struggling by the closet (GM making sounds) and immediately opened it.
RRH: Grandmother, you’re safe! Oh my God! I was so worried.
GM: I’m safe now my dear, have no fear.
All: And the three of them lived happily ever after.
THE END.
