Story: Tom and the Lost Kitten

One bright morning, Tom was walking to school when he heard a soft sound coming
from behind a bush.

“Meow… meow…”

Tom gently pushed the branches aside and found a tiny kitten shivering alone. It had grey
fur, blue eyes, and a small bell around its neck.

“Oh no, you’re lost,” Tom said softly. He picked up the kitten and wrapped it in his scarf
to keep it warm.

Instead of going straight to school, Tom first went to the neighbourhood notice board.
There, he saw a poster that said:

“Lost Kitten! Please help us find Luna.”

The kitten’s picture looked exactly the same.

Tom smiled. “So your name is Luna!”

After school, Tom brought the kitten to the address on the poster. A little girl opened the
door, and her face lit up.

“Luna! You found her!” she cried happily.

The girl’s mother thanked Tom and gave him a warm chocolate chip cookie. Tom felt
proud. He had helped someone, and that made his day even sweeter.
