4.2 Interpretation of Table / Chart (Main Part)

For each table or graph, follow this 3-step formula:

Step 1: Table Number & Title


Always mention the table number.
Example:
Table 4.1 shows the age-wise distribution of respondents.

Step 2: Key Observations (Facts)


Mention important numbers only (highest, lowest, majority).
Example:
From the above table, it is observed that 45% of respondents belong to the age group of 21–30
years, followed by 30% in the age group of 31–40 years. Only 10% of respondents are above
50 years.

Step 3: Interpretation (Meaning)


Explain what it implies.
Example:
This indicates that the company’s products are more popular among younger customers,
suggesting strong demand from the working-age population.
Complete Sample Interpretation
Table 4.1 shows the age-wise distribution of respondents. It is observed that the majority of
respondents (45%) fall in the age group of 21–30 years, followed by 30% in the age group of 31–
40 years. A smaller proportion of respondents (10%) are above 50 years. This indicates that the
company’s services are largely preferred by younger customers.
4.3 Interpretation of Graphs / Diagrams
Explain graphs the same way, but mention the diagram.

Chapter V Conclusion and Suggestions


How to Write the Conclusion

 Write in past tense
 Keep it short and clear (1–2 pages maximum)
