Overview:
The expanding virtual composition of our workforce presents new challenges to our managers and
employees. Managers must adapt their in-person skills for driving performance and developing employees
to the new working reality. It can be challenging for managers to give feedback to remote teams since the
nature of interactions have changed. For this reason, the importance of having structured feedback
practices in place becomes even more critical in virtual and in-person team settings.
Feedback elucidates expectations, encourages employees to learn from their experiences, and builds
confidence. In addition, Gallup found that companies that implement regular employee feedback see
• An average of 15% lower turnover rate
• More than 65% of employees felt fully connected with their work after receiving positive feedback
from their Managers.
Think of feedback as a map that helps our Managers point employees in the right direction and keeps them
on track as they go.
