SAFE WORK METHOD STATEMENT – BLOCK WORK

Work Block Work

PROCEDURE: Date:

1. Tasks associated with Block Work include:

2. As per the Drawing, Marking is to be done with Blue Color in Water Base.

3. Then a mixture of Cement & Sand mortar in ratio of 1:4 is to be prepared in MS Tray.

4. Then laying a layer of 15mm - 20mm of the prepared mortar on the floor.

5. Then Fix the Block of size (400x200x100) mm on the layer of mortar.

6. Then lay 4 more layers of blocks separated by a layer of 12 -15 mm of the prepared mortar.

7. Then after Height of 1 meter, Reinforcement Bar of 6 mm/4 rods & Concrete of ratio 1:4 and Dimension
of 100mm X 150/100mm Tie Beam is to be placed.

8. Then again follow the same procedure up to the defined Height of wall. i.e. 1 meter

9. The Height of the Block wall may reach up to 3 meters to 5.5 meters. When the Block wall reaches at 1.2
meters, the work will be considered as Height work.

10. For the height work, Scaffolding is to be erected.

11. Then the Scaffolding & working Platform should be inspected by PMC’s competent

12. Person & proper tagging system must be followed.

13. The provision of Mortar and Blocks to the Mason will be done manually.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) REQUIREMENT:

Personal protective equipment to be used i.e. Safety Helmet, Safety Shoes, Gumboot, Safety

Goggle, Hand gloves, Nose Mask Reflective Jacket, Full body Harness, etc.
CONTROL MEASURES:

Work will be carried out with experienced and trained persons.

ENVIRONMENTAL:

All the Waste material is to be shifted outside the building premises carefully [Proper Housekeeping].
