Scene 1: Order Taking (Telephone)
Attendant:

Guest:
“Good morning. I’d like to order breakfast.”
Attendant:
“Certainly, Ma’am/Sir. May I have your room number, please?”
[Guest provides room number]
(Trainer’s Note: Verify room number clearly, repeat if necessary.)
“Thank you. May I also have your name, please?”
[Guest states name]
“Thank you, Mr./Ms. [Guest’s Name]. What would you like to have for breakfast?”
Guest:
“I’ll have an American breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, and coffee.”
Attendant:
“Let me repeat your order: one American breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, and coffee. Is that
correct, Mr./Ms. [Guest’s Name]?”
[Guest confirms]
(Trainer’s Note: Practice order repetition for accuracy.)
“Perfect. And how would you like to settle your bill, Ma’am/Sir? Will that be cash, credit/debit card, or
room charge?”
[Guest responds]
“Thank you very much. Your order will be delivered within 20 minutes. Would you like your breakfast
served inside your room or on the balcony?”
[Guest responds]
“Very well, Mr./Ms. [Guest’s Name]. Thank you for your order. Have a pleasant morning.”
(Trainer’s Note: Always close the call politely.)
Scene 2: Delivery of the Order
(Attendant knocks gently on the door, stands straight with a smile.)
Attendant:
“Room Service!”
(Trainer’s Note: Knock 3 times softly, wait, then announce. Maintain professional posture.)
Guest opens the door
Attendant:
“Good morning, Mr./Ms. [Guest’s Name]. I have your breakfast order. May I come in?”
[Guest agrees]
“Where would you like me to set up your meal? On the balcony as requested?”
[Guest agrees]
(Attendant pushes trolley in carefully, sets up neatly, arranges cutlery, napkin, condiments, and food
items with proper table setting skills.)

(Attendant starts clearing dishes quietly, avoiding clattering.)
