MY REFLECTION NOTES:
In reflecting on my recent lesson focused on developing learners’ critical and
creative thinking alongside HOTS, I recognize that while I successfully
incorporated open-ended questions to prompt analysis and evaluation—such
as asking students to compare different solutions to a real-world problem in
science class—I relied too heavily on structured activities that limited
opportunities for spontaneous creative exploration. I observed that when
given guided group tasks to design their own investigations, learners showed
strong engagement and generated unique ideas, indicating that shifting
toward more learner-centered, inquiry-driven approaches is effective.
However, I also noted gaps in how I assessed these skills; my rubric
emphasized content accuracy more than the quality of reasoning or
originality of thought. Moving forward, I realize the need to better balance
structured guidance with flexible space for creativity, revise assessment
tools to explicitly measure HOTS competencies, and provide more targeted
feedback that highlights how learners can further refine their critical analysis
and innovative problem-solving abilities.

MY REFLECTION NOTES:
During the demonstration lesson using the 4A's Approach, I observed that
the opening Activity effectively engaged learners and activated prior
knowledge, with 80% of students actively participating in the group
brainstorming task; however, I recognize that integrating e-SAT Phase 1’s
digital response feature could have provided real-time data to adjust pacing
immediately. In the Analysis segment, guiding students to connect their
observations to key concepts worked well through targeted questioning,
though I need to ensure more equitable participation by leveraging the tool’s
randomized selection function. For Abstraction, presenting core ideas via a
combination of visual aids and e-SAT’s interactive modules helped reinforce
understanding, yet I noticed some students struggled with the digital
interface – a gap I will address in my PDP by including training on user-
friendly tech integration. The Application phase’s hands-on task allowed
students to apply learning to real-life scenarios, and using e-SAT to assess
outputs streamlined grading and provided clear insights into mastery levels;
moving forward, my PDP will focus on designing more authentic assessment
tasks that align with both the 4A’s structure and e-SAT’s data analytics
capabilities to better track student progress and refine my instructional
strategies.

MY REFLECTION NOTES:
In my culture-based education demonstration lesson focused on local folk
arts of Central Luzon, I was pleased to see high student engagement when I
incorporated live demonstrations of traditional weaving techniques and
invited a community elder to share stories behind the crafts – this personal
connection helped learners recognize the relevance of their cultural heritage
to daily life. However, I noted that while most students actively participated
in the hands-on weaving activity, some from non-local backgrounds felt less
included, highlighting the need for me to better integrate diverse cultural
perspectives within the lesson framework. I effectively used visual materials
showcasing regional variations of the art form, but realize I could have
leveraged digital tools to let students research and present their own cultural
practices as well. Assessment through a collaborative project where groups
created their own folk-art pieces with written explanations worked well in
measuring understanding, though I will adjust my approach in future to
include more formative checks that capture students’ evolving appreciation
for cultural diversity. Moving forward, I will update my professional
development plan to focus on strategies for inclusive culture-based
instruction, building partnerships with more community stakeholders, and
integrating technology to enhance cross-cultural learning experiences for all
students.

MY REFLECTION NOTES:
During Quarter 3, I actively participated in our grade level’s collaborative lesson
planning sessions, which helped me design more engaging activities for my
mathematics class – particularly the group problem-solving tasks we developed
together, which boosted student participation by 30% compared to previous
quarters. However, I recognize that while I contributed ideas during meetings, I
could have been more proactive in sharing student performance data to inform our
collective decisions earlier, as some gaps were only identified later in the quarter. I
also engaged in peer observation with a colleague, and their feedback helped me
improve my use of formative assessments to adjust instruction in real time; though I
still struggle to consistently document and share my own observations with the
team to support mutual growth. For Quarter 4, I plan to implement the collaborative
intervention strategies we agreed on for struggling learners, including weekly small-
group sessions co-facilitated with a peer teacher, and will commit to submitting
student progress updates to our team’s shared platform every Friday. Moving
forward, I will include specific goals in my reflection plan to enhance my
collaborative contributions, such as leading one lesson planning session per month
and initiating regular check-ins with my assigned peer mentor to ensure we stay
aligned on our Quarter 4 targets.

MY REFLECTION NOTES:
During the demonstration of beginning reading instruction, I recognized that
while my use of visual aids and repetitive phonics drills effectively engaged
some learners, I struggled to provide individualized support to students with
varying learning paces—particularly those who needed more time to grasp
phonemic awareness concepts and others who were ready to move ahead to
simple word blending. I noted that my transition between activities was
somewhat rushed, which may have caused some students to lose focus, and
that I could have better integrated multilingual elements relevant to our
diverse classroom to make vocabulary connections more meaningful. On a
positive note, the interactive story-reading segment encouraged active
participation and helped students link decoding skills to comprehension, and
the use of peer pairing during practice exercises fostered collaboration
among learners. Moving forward, I plan to adjust my lesson pacing, prepare
differentiated activity stations in advance, and incorporate more home
language resources to ensure all beginning readers receive the targeted
support they need to build strong literacy foundations.
