How was your day today?
How old are you / what’s your age?

Quran teacher.
Have you read Quran or Qaida before?
If he/she says No.
Ok no worries In Sha ALLAH I will teach you Qaidah from
the basic of Quran.
Or he/she says Yes.

Do you know what is Ta’awuzz and Tasmiyah?
‫الر ِج ِيم‬
‫ان ه‬ ِ ‫ش ْي َط‬ ‫ عُوذُ ِب ه‬this is called Ta’awuzz.
‫اَّللِ ِم َن ال ه‬
‫ٱلر ۡح َم ٰـ ِن ه‬
‫ٱلر ِح ِيم‬ ‫ ِب ۡس ِم ٱهللِ ه‬this is called Tasmiyah.

How to Teach Qaida
This is Alif ‫ ا‬.
This is Baa ‫ب‬, This is Taa ‫ت‬, This is Saa ‫ ث‬.
Baa, Taa and Saa these three letters’ shapes are same but the
difference of dots and sounds.
Baa has one dot down side, Taa has two dots on top, Saa has
three dots on top.
Jeem ‫ج‬, Haa ‫ح‬, Khaa ‫ خ‬are also same but the difference of
dots and sounds.
Jeem has one dot inside the letter, Haa has no dot, Khaa has
one dot on the top.
How many soft letters are there?
There are three soft letters: Saa ‫ث‬, Zaal ‫ذ‬, Zua ‫ ظ‬.
We have to read these three letters softly.
Touch the tip of your tongue with the tip of upper front two
teethes then pronounce Saa, Zaal, Zua.
How many whistle’s sounds letters?
There are three whistle’s sounds letters: Zaa ‫ز‬, Seen ‫س‬, Suad
‫ص‬.
These three letters we have to read with whistle sound.
How many Throatal letters are there?
There are six throatal letters: Hamzah ‫ء‬, Haa ‫ه‬, Aaeen ‫ع‬,
Haa ‫ح‬, Ghaeen ‫غ‬, Khaa ‫خ‬.

Hamzah ‫ء‬, Haa ‫ ه‬will pronounce from end of throat near the
chest. These two letters have a heavy sound.
Aaeen ‫ع‬, Haa ‫ ح‬will pronounce from middle of throat. These
two letters have light sound.
Ghaeen ‫غ‬, Khaa ‫ خ‬will pronounce from starting of throat.
These two letters have a gargle sound.
How many Echo (Qalqlah) letters are there?
There are five Echo (Qalqlah) letters ‫قطب جد‬: Qaaf ‫ق‬, Tua ‫ط‬,
Baa ‫ب‬, Jeem ‫ج‬, Daal ‫د‬.
Whenever these five letters will be sakin we will do Qalqalah
(we will pronounce there echo sound, repeated sound)
How many bold letters are there?
There are seven bold letters: ‫خصضغط قظ‬
Khaa ‫خ‬, Suad ‫ص‬, Duad ‫ض‬, Tua ‫ط‬, Zua ‫ظ‬, Ghaeen ‫غ‬, Qaaf ‫ق‬.
Whenever these seven letters will read we have to read them
with full of mouth.
How many Yarmaloon letters are there?
There are six Yarmaloon letters: ‫يرملون‬
Yaa ‫ى‬, Raa ‫ر‬, Meem ‫م‬, Laam ‫ل‬, Waow ‫و‬, Noon ‫ن‬.
What is Saakin?
The letter with Jazam (sukoon) sign that letter is called
Sakin letter.

What is the purpose of Sakin letter?
Saakin letter we have to connect with before a letter which
has any sign on it
What is Mushaddad?
Letter with Shad sign that letter is called Mushaddad.
What is the purpose of Mushaddad letter?
Mushaddad letter we have to read twice (two times) first of
all mushaddad letter will be connect with before a letter
which has any sign on it instead of jazam secondly we will
read that letter by himself symbol.
How manay Maddah letters are there?
There are three maddah letters Alif ‫ا‬, Waow ‫و‬, Yaa ‫ي‬,
What are the conditions of maddah letters?
If the letter before Alif has Zabar sign that Alif will called
Alif maddah.
If the letter before Waow sakin has Paish that Waow will
called waow maddah.
If the letter before Yaa sakin has Zair that Yaa will called
Yaa maddah.
Maddah letters will be prolonged equals to one to two
seconda or one Alif.

What is Ghunnah?
Ghunnah means Nasal sound (nose sound) whenever the
letter Noon‫ ن‬and Meem ‫ م‬will be Mushaddad we will do
ghunnah on Noon ‫ ن‬and Meem ‫ م‬we will hold the sound of
Noon and Meem through the nose for one to two seconds
(equals to one alif).
What is Ikhfa?
Ikhfa means hiding the sound of Noon or Meem partialy in
the nose, whenever after the Noon Sakin or Tanween Ikhfa
letters will come then we will do ikhfa on Noon Sakin and
Tanween.
How many Ikhfa letters are there?
There are 15 Ikhfa letters
‫ك‬،‫ق‬،‫ف‬،‫ظ‬،‫ط‬،‫ض‬،‫ص‬،‫ش‬،‫س‬،‫ز‬،‫ذ‬،‫د‬،‫ج‬،‫ث‬،‫ت‬
What is Idgham?
Idgham means amalgamation mixing the sounds of the
letters if after the noon sakin and tanween there will be any
Yarmaloon letter we will do idgham on noon sakin and
tanween we will merge the sound of noon sakin and tanween
into yarmaloon letters but on Laam ‫ ل‬and Raa ‫ ر‬we will do
idgham without ghunnah.

What is Iqlab?
Iqlab means changing the sound of noon sakin and tanween
into meem.
If after the noon sakin or tanween there will be Baa letter
will come we will do iqlab the noon sakin and tanween sound
will be change into meem.

What is Izhar?
Izhar means read clearly if after the noon sakin and tanween
there will be any Throatal letters will come then we will do
izhar on noon sakin and tanween.
