RESEARCH PROJECT GUIDELINES FOR VIVA-VOCE EXAMINATION (2ND, 4TH, 6TH & 8TH SEMESTERS)
In partial fulfilment of the Internal Assessment, all students of B.A. LL.B., BBA LL.B. and LL.B. (2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th
Semesters) are hereby informed that they are required to undertake a Written Research Project followed by a Viva-Voce
Examination. The research project will carry 10 Marks, which shall be carried forward to the External Written Examination.
WORD LIMIT & SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
1) 2nd Semester – 1,200–1,500 words (approx. 6–8 pages)
2) 4th Semester – 1,500–2,000 words (approx. 8–10 pages)
3) 6th Semester – 2,000–2,500 words (approx. 10–12 pages)
4) 8th Semester – 2,500–3,000 words (approx. 12–15 pages)
FORMAT
1) Font: Times New Roman, Size 12
2) Spacing: 1.5 line spacing
3) Alignment: Justified
4) Margins: 1 inch on all sides
5) Citation: Harvard Bluebook (21st Edition)
6) Submission: Hard copy (spiral bound)

VIVA-VOCE EXAMINATION
1) Date: Sep. 23, 24, 25, 26 & Oct. 9, 10, 11 of 2025
2) Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (as per panel allocation)
3) Mode: In-person before Faculty Panel
4) Duration: 3 – 4 Minutes Per Student
MARKING SCHEME
1) Written Project: 6 Marks
2) Viva-Voce: 4 Marks
3) Students must bring their research project copy on the day of viva.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
1) Projects must be original work; plagiarism above 15% will not be accepted.
2) Late submissions will not be entertained.
3) Students must strictly appear before the panel only in their allotted slot.
4) Absentees will be examined on the last day only, subject to panel availability.
