DAILY LESSON Teacher: DONALYN L. AQUINO Learning Area: MATH
PLAN Date & Time: JANUARY 19, 2025 (MONDAY) Quarter: THIRD (WEEK 9)
I. CURRICULUM CONTENT, STANDARDS, AND LESSON COMPETENCIES
A. Content Standards The learner should have knowledge and understanding of multiplication and division of
whole numbers using the 2, 3, 4, 5, and 10 multiplication tables.
B. Performance Standards By the end of the quarter, the learners perform multiplication and division of whole
numbers using the 2, 3, 4, 5, and 10 multiplication tables.
C. Learning Competencies The learners:
1. illustrate division through equal distribution of a number of objects into several groups;
2. illustrate and write division expressions using a variety of concrete and pictorial models
and numerals, in modelling division as:
a. equal sharing or formation of equal groups of objects, and
b. repeated subtraction;
3. divide numbers using the 2, 3 4, 5, and 10 multiplication tables; and find the missing
number in a number sentence involving multiplication or division by 2, 3, 4, 5, and 10.
D. Learning Objectives At the end of the lesson, the learner should be able to divide numbers using the
multiplication table of 3.
II. CONTENT DIVIDE NUMBERS USING THE MULTIPLICATION TABLE OF 3
III. LEARNING RESOURCES
A. Teacher’s Guide Pages MATATAG Curriculum Guide in Mathematics
B. Learner’s Materials Pages
C. Textbook Pages
D. Additional Materials from
Learning Resource Portal
E. Other Learning Resources google, youtube, activity sheets, powerpoint presentation
IV. TEACHING AND LEARNING PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing previous lesson or Review the relationship of multiplication and division using the multiplication table of 2.
presenting the new lesson
B. Establishing the purpose of the To divide numbers using the multiplication table of 3
lesson
C. Presenting examples/instances division, divide, multiplication, multiplication table, multiply, repeated addition, repeated
of the new lesson subtraction
D. Discussing new concepts and Today, we are going to continue our lesson on division using the multiplication
practicing new skills #1 table of 3.
Post 3 groups of 1 circle
How many groups of 1 circle are there? There are 3 groups of 1 circle.
How can we find the number of circles using addition?
1+1+1=3
Write this below the groups of circles.
E. Discussing new concepts and Let the learners answer
practicing new skills #2 AS 1 in pairs.
F. Developing Mastery (Leads to How do we divide numbers using the multiplication table of 3?
formative assessment) To divide numbers using the multiplication table of 3, we look for the number that, when
multiplied by 3, gives the dividend (the number you want to divide).
The number we multiply by 3 to get the dividend is the quotient. In essence, we are
reversing the multiplication process to find the quotient.
Example:
If 3 × 4 = 12, 12 ÷ 4 = 3.
G. Finding practical application of Ask the learners to answer
concepts and skills in daily living Learning Activity sheets.
H. Making generalization and What was our lesson all about? What did you learn today?
abstraction about the lesson
I. Evaluating learning Ask the learners to answer
Learning Activity sheets.
J. Additional activities for
application or remediation
