ENGLISH
1. Weekly Writing Tasks (1 topic per week)

Write one page on each:

• My Favourite Festival

• My Favourite Teacher

• A Day at My School

• My Best Friend

• My Hobby

• A Visit to a Market

• Importance of Cleanliness

• Winter Season

• If I Were a Bird

(9 topics → one per week across winter)

2. Grammar Practice (Twice a Week)

• Write 10 nouns, 10 verbs, 10 adjectives

• Change singular → plural (10 words)

• Make sentences using:

o is/are

o has/have

o in/on/under

• Write 5 compound words (sunlight, notebook, snowman etc.)

3. Reading Practice (Daily – 15 minutes)

• Read two pages of your English text book daily .

• After reading, write 3 lines:

o What I read
o What I learned

o My favourite part

4. Creative Writing (Once a Month)

• Write a short story (8–10 sentences) with a moral

• Draw a picture and describe it in 6–7 sentences

MATHEMATICS
1. Number & Place Value Practice

• Write numbers 1–1000 (10–20 daily)

• Write number names 1–200

• Write predecessor & successor for 20 numbers weekly

• Ascending/Descending order (10 weekly)

2. Calculation Practice

Every week:

• 15 sums of 2-digit

• 10 sums of 3-digit addition with carry

• 10 sums of 3-digit subtraction with borrowing

• 5 simple word problems

• 2-digit multiplication

3. Tables

• Learn and practice tables 2 to 15

• Write each table twice a week

4. Shapes & Measurement

• Draw and label:

o square

o rectangle

o triangle

o circle
• Measure 5 household objects using a scale and note length

• Practice telling time (draw 5 clocks, show time)

GENERAL SCIENCE
1. Weekly Written Tasks

Write 6–8 lines on:

• My Family

• Types of Houses

• Our Helpers

• Plants and Their Uses

• Safety Rules

• Our Festivals

• Water and Its Sources

• Animals and Their Young Ones


(One topic per week)

2. Observation & Activity Tasks

• Draw your favourite plant and label 5 parts

• Observe morning and evening weather for 10 days & record

• Note 5 good habits to follow daily

• Identify and write 5 indoor & 5 outdoor games

ART & CRAFT


• One drawing per week (scenery, bird, snowy day, village, school)

• Paper craft:

o paper house

o paper flower

o winter snowman

o bookmark
MORAL & LIFE SKILLS
Once a month:

• Learn one new moral story

• Write its moral

• Practice simple duties:

o help parents

o keep room clean

o speak politely

OPTIONAL DIGITAL PRACTICE


(15–20 minutes only)

• Khan Academy Kids

• English reading videos

• Maths quiz apps for Class 3

Urdu / Punjabi / Kashmiri

1. Writing Practice

• Write small and capital alphabets (Urdu / Punjabi / Kashmiri script) twice.

• Write 5 new words simple words from each lesson of your prescribed book.

• Try to learn and read new words from textbook (word formation).

2. Reading Practice

• Read any page from textbook daily.


✔ NOTE FOR PARENTS
• No pressure—30 minutes daily is enough.

• Guide children but allow them to write on their own.

• Encourage reading and speaking in English daily.
