Emma’s Busy Day

Hello! My name is Emma and I’m 11 years old. I live in a small town with my family: my mom,
my dad, and my little brother. I love my town because it is quiet and friendly.

On school days, I usually wake up at 7:00 in the morning. I wash my face, brush my teeth, and
get dressed. Then I have breakfast. I usually eat toast with butter and drink a glass of milk. My
brother doesn’t like milk, he drinks apple juice.

At 8:00, I walk to school with my best friend, Tom. He always tells funny stories on the way, so
we laugh a lot. School starts at 8:30. We have English, Math, Science, and History classes. My
favorite subject is English because I like reading and writing. Tom prefers Science, and he
always asks a lot of questions in class!

At 12:30, we have lunch at the school canteen. I usually eat pasta or chicken with salad. After
lunch, we have more classes until 3:00.

In the afternoon, I often play football in the park or ride my bike. On Mondays and
Wednesdays, I go to the swimming pool with my cousin. Sometimes I help my mom in the
kitchen. I can make a delicious fruit salad!

In the evening, I do my homework and then I watch TV or play board games with my family. My
dad usually reads a newspaper, and my mom talks on the phone with her friends. We are all
together in the living room, and I like that.

At night, I go to bed at 9:30. I always read a book before I sleep. That is my busy day!
