PRESENTATION TASK: TOUR ITINERARY PRODUCT
🎯 Purpose
In this presentation, your group will present and explain the tour itinerary you have designed.
Focus not only on what the tour is, but why you arranged it that way and for whom it is designed.
👥 Group & Time
Group size: 5 students
Presentation time: 30 minutes (including Q&A)
Language: English
All 5 members must speak and share responsibilities fairly.
Suggested time division:
20–22 minutes: main presentation
5–8 minutes: Q&A from teacher & classmates
📌 TASK DESCRIPTION
Prepare a 30-minute group presentation about your tour product.
Your presentation should clearly answer these key questions:
1. What are tours?
→ What kind of tour is it? (1-day / 2D1N / 3D2N / 4D3N / Special Theme)
→ Where is the destination? What is the main theme? (culture, nature, adventure, beach,
culinary, volunteer, etc.)
2. How you organize tours?
→ How did you organize the itinerary day by day and hour by hour?
→ Why did you put certain activities in the morning/afternoon/evening?
→ How do time, distance, and customer comfort influence your arrangement?
3. Who are your customers?
→ How many customers is this tour designed for? (e.g. 15 students, 30 domestic tourists,
10 foreign retirees…)
→ Is it a private tour or group tour? Is it for families, friends, students, company staff,
etc.?
4. Are there any notices about your target customers?
→ What is special about your target customers? For example:
o Age: children / teenagers / adults / elderly
o Nationality: Vietnamese / foreign tourists
o Budget: low-cost, mid-range, luxury
o Health and physical ability: can they trek? climb? walk long distances?
o Special needs: vegetarian/halal food, disabled access, motion sickness, fear of
height, etc.
→ How did these characteristics affect your choice of activities, meals, hotels,
timing, and transport?
You should show clearly that your tour is designed for a specific customer group, not
“everyone in general”.
🧩 SUGGESTED PRESENTATION OUTLINE (6 minutes)
You can use this outline if you wish (and adapt if needed):
1. Introduction (1 min)
Agency & group introduction (name of your “travel agency” + members)
Tour title, type, and destination
Short overview:
o “Our tour is a 3D2N Nature & Culture Tour in Sapa, designed for 20
university students from Thai Nguyen who want both relaxation and cultural
learning.”
2. Target Customers & Group Size (1 min)
Explain clearly: Who are your customers?
Number of customers (e.g. 15, 20, 30 people…)
Profile:
o Age group
o Occupation (students, office workers, retired people…)
o Travel purpose (relaxation, team building, study trip, family holiday…)
o Budget level
Special characteristics / needs:
o Any health issues? (cannot walk a lot, need easy routes)
o Any children or elderly in the group?
o Food requirements? (vegetarian, no seafood, halal, etc.)
o Cultural or educational goals? (visit museums, workshops, ethnic villages…)
👉 Then answer:
“How did these customer characteristics influence your tour design?”
Give concrete examples:
“Because our group includes elderly people, we reduced trekking and chose more
sightseeing by bus.”
“Because they are students with a limited budget, we chose 3-star hotels and local
restaurants instead of luxury resorts.”
3. Overall Itinerary Structure (1 min)
Explain how you arranged the tour:
Show an overview table of days and main activities (Day 1, Day 2, Day 3…)
Explain:
o Why this order? (e.g. light activities first, more intense later, relaxing at the
end…)
o How you balanced travel time, sightseeing, rest, and meals
o How long each transfer is and why it is reasonable for your customer group
You can use guiding sentences:
“On Day 1, we focus on city landmarks to help customers get familiar with the
destination.”
“On Day 2, we organize trekking in the morning when the weather is cooler.”
“On the last day, we keep activities light and relaxing before driving back.”
4. Key Details: Activities, Meals, Hotels (1 min)
Choose the most important parts of your written tour and present them:
2–3 highlight activities
o What tourists do
o Why it is special/unique
o Why it matches your customer group
Meal plan
o Example dishes / local specialties
o How you consider health / culture / religion
Accommodation
o Hotel / homestay name, location
o Why you chose this (view, price, distance, comfort)
Connect everything back to the customer profile:
“We chose a homestay for students to experience local life and reduce cost.”
“We selected a sea-view resort because this is a luxury honeymoon tour.”
5. Special Selling Points & Reflection (2 minutes)
What makes your tour different from normal tours?
o A workshop (cooking class, handicraft making)
o Community or volunteer activity
o Unique route or experience
Reflection:
o What was difficult when designing the tour?
o What would you improve if you redesigned this tour?
6. Conclusion & Invitation (1mins)
Short, strong marketing-style invitation:
o “Join us on this unforgettable journey to…”
Repeat your main selling points in 2–3 sentences.
Thank the audience and invite questions.
