Objective:
This activity aims to enhance your skills in networking and collaboration by engaging with NGOs to
understand their mission, vision, goals, and objectives. You will develop insights into how these
organizations contribute to society and explore opportunities for partnership or collaboration.
Instructions:
1. Identify Potential NGOs
- Research and list at least three NGOs in your community or area of interest.
- Ensure that the organizations align with causes or sectors you are passionate about (e.g., education,
environment, health, social services).
2. Reach Out to an NGO
- Draft a professional email or letter to introduce yourself and explain the purpose of your inquiry.
- Request permission to conduct an interview or obtain information about their mission, vision, goals,
and objectives.
- Use respectful and professional language.
3. Prepare for the Interaction
- Research the NGO beforehand to familiarize yourself with their work.
- Prepare a list of questions to guide your conversation. Examples:
- What is the organization's mission and vision?
- What are its main goals and objectives?
- What challenges does it face in achieving these goals?
- How does it engage with the community?
Personal:
What inspired you to join this NGO, and what drives your passion for its mission?
Can you share an experience or moment that reaffirmed your commitment to the cause?

4. Conduct the Interview or Visit
- Schedule and attend the interview or visit the NGO’s office if possible.
- Act professionally and take detailed notes during your interaction.
- Ask permission to take video recording or audio recording.
- Show appreciation for their time and insights.
5. Document Your Findings
- Summarize the key points from each NGO interaction, including their mission, vision, goals, and
objectives.
- Reflect on how these align with your interests or how they could be potential partners in future
initiatives.
6. Present Your Report
- Compile your findings into a 3-5 minute video.
- Highlight the unique contributions of each NGO and their potential impact on society.
