CLASS- VIII
English
A) Write 20 antonyms and 20 synonyms on A4 size ruled sheet
B) Practice Tenses in all forms to improve your writing skills. For example :- Take one
sentence (it can be from your text too) and transform the same sentence into different tense
forms. (To be done in Notebook)
C) Create a thrill story based on your imagination or experience during summer holidays and
the same will be discussed in class after summer break. (To be done in Notebook)
MATHEMATICS
(a) Do activity no.1,(lab kit); Verify Associative and Commutative property with atleast
5 examples, Activity based on Linear Equation for finding a solution and formation of
linear equation based on real life examples.
(b) Do given worksheet in practice note book.
(c) Make a project based on different type of quadrilaterals and its properties or
Properties of Rational number.
(d) Do practice ch - 1,2 & 3.
SCIENCE
1. Make a model of any one of the appliances used in crop production.
Or
Make a model of any one type Microorganism.
Preferably use old /waste/ used material available at home to make it. Be at your creative
best. Also prepare about it for presentation in class.
2. Grow a leguminous plant in a flower pot. Take a pic at least every 6 to 7 days to see its
growth. After 25 to 30 days take out the plant from soil carefully and study its root
nodules and take a pic of root nodules formed. You can use seeds of black gram/
white gram/ red kidney beans. Plant at least 6-7 seeds so that you have sufficient
plants to study.
Make a PPT collecting all the pics of above plant growth (starting from sowing it seed,
germination, growth, appearance of root nodules). Take printouts of your PPT and paste
them in scrap [Link] write about importance of root nodules.
3. Collect the pictures of various agricultural implements and practises used in Sikkim.
Paste them in a scrap file and write few lines about them.
4. Under the guidance of your mother or an elder at home make arrangement for
formation of curd. Write your experience in the form of paragraph in the scrap file,
also write the name of bacteria involved.
Or
Collect wrappers of five frozen or canned food item, paste them in scrap file. List the
method of their preservation and also write the preservative present.
5. Read lesson 1,2. Learn spelling of all difficult and new words.
Social Science
1) Make a project report by collecting information about on any one Governor General
of British India. (on A3 sized sheet)
2) Make a poster to create awareness among the masses against child labour on A3 size
sheet
3) International Union for conservation of nature has prepared a list of endangered plants
& animals. Collect pictures of any 6 animals & paste them on A3 size sheet.
4) Mark the given items on map
● Lahore, Lucknow, Banaras, Calcutta, Kathmandu , Bombay, Delhi ,Pune,Hyderabad,
Madras, Mysore, Goa
Note : Attach all above in a handmade sheet folder.
ART EDUCATION

अपने प्रिय स्थल का ए-4 शीट पर सचित्र वर्णन कीजिए।
3. प्रारम्भ से आज तक की संचार की यात्रा (चित्र कार्य कलाप), लैटर
बोक्स बनाना, द्वारका का मॉडल बनाना, नालंदा का मॉडल बनाना (समूह
कार्य कलाप)।
4. सीट पर सिक्किम में ‘पानी के संचयन’ को दर्शाता 3-डी मॉडल तैयार
करना।
नोटः अप्रैल से मई तक कराए गए समस्त पाठ्यक्रम का अभ्यास करें।

1. संस्कृत में 10 सूक्तियाँ व उनके अर्थ लिखें। (हिन्दी
कैलीग्राफी का प्रयोग करें।)
2. पाठ - 1 से 4 तक किन्हीं 20 शब्दों का परिचय दीजिए।
3. उपपद विभक्ति के नियमों की तालिका बनायें।
4. "वृक्षाः जीवनम् कथम् उपकुर्वन्ति ?"- विषय पर हिन्दी में
अनुच्छेद लिखें।
5. (अनुच्छेद में संस्कृत श्लोकों का भी प्रयोग करें। )
6. (निर्देश - उपरोक्त सभी कार्य संस्कृत की कॉपी में करें । )
7. ( य - पुस्तक में) कार्य - पत्रिका -1 करें। (पृष्ठ संख्या -33 व 34)
8. - पुस्तक - पृष्ठसंख्या - 32 पर दिए गए गीत को कण्ठस्थ करें।
9. वाचन - अभ्यास करें ।
10. पठित -कार्य पुनरावृत्ति करें।
COMPUTER
Create a video how you have spent your summer vacations in any Video Editor App.

1. Read newspaper daily and paste 10 headlines on A 4 size sheet.
2. Make a collage of UNESCO Monuments of India on A 4 size sheet. (Refer Pg. No. 12, 13)
and Write about important features of anyone of them on another A4 size coloured sheet.
