🎬 Skit: The Three E’s in Debate

[Scene: School Auditorium]

🎙️Narrator (Advik)

“Welcome to Podar International School’s big debate! The topic is Technology

– Boon or Bane?

But remember, this is also a test of the three E’s: Excellence, Ethics, and
Engagement.

Little do we know… one debater has a shortcut planned.”

🎤 Host (Chaitanya)

“Good morning, everyone! Judges, could you remind our students what
matters today?”

Judge 1 (Gaurav): “We want excellence—clear ideas and confidence.”

Judge 2 (Jatasya): “We want ethics—honesty and fairness.”

Judge 3 (Kalp): “And we want engagement—keep us and the audience
awake!”

Narrator: “Well… Judge 2 might be in for a surprise.”

🟦 Round 1 – Opening Statements

Team A – Speaker 1 Rohit (Jash, the cheater):

(nervously pulls crumpled paper from sleeve)

“Technology is… uh… always a boon! It has given us… um… machines,
medicines, and—”

(drops paper dramatically 📄)

Audience Member 1 (Vedant, giggles):

“Did their speech just run away?”

Team B – Speaker 1 Mehul (Hriday):

(smiling)

“Technology can also be a bane. Just like… when you trust your sleeve more
than your brain!”

(Audience laughs 😂)
Round 2 – Arguments

Team A – Speaker 2 Sumit (Abhivir):

“Excellence in technology is online learning, fast communication, and new

discoveries.”

Team B – Speaker 2 Tarun (Daksh):

“But without ethics, technology is dangerous. Hacking, scams,

cyberbullying.”

Team A – Speaker 3 Krishna (Atharva, whispers to Rohit):

“Wait… are you seriously reading notes?”

Rohit (cheater, panicking):

“No, no! I was just… uh… checking if my sleeve works like… a Wi-Fi
antenna.”

Audience Member 2 (Harshad, laughing):

“Looks more like Weak-Fi!”

Round 3 – Reaction to Cheating

Judge 2 (Jatasya, stern but smiling):

“Debating with hidden notes? That’s not ethics—it’s antics.”

Team B – Speaker 3 Ajay (Pushkar):

“We may disagree about technology, but we all agree: Ethics matter more
than victory.”

Rohit (cheater, scratching head):

“Okay, fine! I admit it. I thought cheating would make me look smart… but
now I just look like a broken printer.”

Narrator (Advik):

“And there it is—the downfall of our ‘tech genius.’”

Audience Reactions

Audience Member 3 (Siddharth): “Excellence is giving your best—not

sneaking notes.”

Audience Member 1 (Vedant): “Ethics means honesty—even if you lose.”

Audience Member 2 (Harshad): “And engagement means making us laugh…

which our cheater did perfectly!” 😂

Closing Statements

Team A – Speaker 2 Sumit (Abhivir):

“We’ll aim for excellence through practice.”

Team B – Speaker 1 Mehul (Hriday):

“We’ll stand by ethics in every competition.”

Both Teams (together):

“And we’ll create engagement through respect and honesty.”

Judges’ Verdict

Judge 1 (Gaurav): “Team A showed courage by admitting mistakes.”

Judge 2 (Jatasya): “Team B debated with ethics.”

Judge 3 (Kalp): “And everyone kept us engaged—especially our ‘Wi-Fi sleeve’

friend!”

🎤 Host (Chaitanya)

“So, the true winner today is not one team, but the three values: Excellence,
Ethics, and Engagement.”
🎙️Narrator (Advik)

“And the moral? Cheating might give you notes… but it won’t give you
respect.”

🎉 All Characters (together)

“We promise to uphold Excellence, Ethics, and Engagement in everything we

do!”

(Curtains close with applause 👏👏👏)
