Chapter 52 – Cotton: Codes & Subchapters

 5201 – Cotton, not carded or combed (raw)


 5202 – Cotton waste (including yarn/thread waste, garnetted stock)
 5203 – Cotton, carded or combed
 5204 – Cotton sewing thread
 5205 – Cotton yarn (≥85% cotton, not retail-packed)
 Other headings (e.g., cotton fabrics) may appear in later chapters

HS/PCT Chapter 54 includes categories such as:

 5401 – Sewing thread of synthetic or artificial filaments


 5402 – Synthetic filament yarn (not retail-packaged) polyester yarn
