What is Hardware?

Hardware refers to the physical parts of a computer. These parts can be seen and touched.
Examples include keyboard, mouse, monitor and CPU.
Types of Hardware

Computer hardware is mainly divided into three types:


• Input Devices
• Output Devices
• Storage Devices
Input Devices

Input devices are used to enter data and instructions into the computer.
Examples: Keyboard, Mouse, Scanner, Microphone, Webcam
Output Devices

Output devices display the results processed by the computer.


Examples: Monitor, Printer, Speakers, Headphones, Projector
Storage Devices

Storage devices are used to store data and information.


Examples: Hard Disk, Pen Drive, CD/DVD, Memory Card, External Hard Drive
