It emphasizes the importance of consistency in content output, explaining how units of value (UOV) compound over time, leading to exponential growth or decline based on content quality and frequency. Additionally, it details eight essential components for creating an effective inbound system and provides a step-by-step guide for implementation.

Introduction

Welcome to Building Inbound Systems. Here we’ll explore how to build simple, straightforward &
consistent content creation & inbound marketing mechanisms that capture attention and convert
it into cash via appointments. Inbound is a very powerful tool, but it can take a while before it
starts to work. For this reason you should be prioritising outbound before inbound.

Inbound Value Exponents 🧲💰

As a system, inbound content has an exponential nature. This means outputs compound on
themselves to become inputs as a positive feedback loop forms.

Value stacks as an exponent, meaning it achieves exponential growth (or decline) by nature.

We can imagine content has ‘units of value’ (UOV).

UOV is used to measure the contribution of value to your channel.

Important: Units of value are arbitrary, but illustrate the point of consistency.

For every video you make, your channel becomes exponentially more valuable to the
market. The more valuable your channel becomes, the more subscribers, reach &
appointments you’ll get.

Content has value to the market when it contributes to the expansion and success of the
market.

Content has value to platforms when they get people to click and stay. The more clicks and
the longer the watch time, the more value the video/content is. Valuable content gets
recommended.

Your first content will give your profile/channel a UOV of 0.000000001, new content
multiplies this by 2x.

^ 1+ is when results start flowing properly

This is a model to illustrate the compounding nature of consistency. It’s not representative of
the real world and ‘UOV’ doesn’t really exist or work like this, but it makes sense to think of
inbound this way.

Your value compound rate will depend on the quality of your videos/content, your
competition, the algorithm, and the natural cap size of your market.

- If you miss an upload, your channel UOV goes down to what it was for the video
before the last video.

This way, your channel UOV can exponentially DECREASE but with double the power it
increases. (if you miss 6 pieces of content, your UOV goes down to what it was 12 pieces of
content ago). This is why inconsistency costs you so much. One missed upload costs you
the value from the two you uploaded prior to it.

This is the way social platform algorithms work. It rewards consistency by exponentially
growing a channel, but punishes inconsistency by 2x’ing that exponential growth in decline.

Let's say you miss video 11, video 12 and video 13 for a week or two. Your UOV goes back
down to 0.000000128, and you have to rebuild, taking time and ultimately taking longer to
get to 1+ UOV where results happen.

This is also why people give up. They don’t give their channel enough time to compound and
reach a net UOV of 1+.

- If you upload an ‘un-valuable’ video (low CTR, low watch time, doesn’t help the
market), your channel UOV goes down to what it was before the last video. Your
channel UOV can exponentially DECREASE by uploading shit content.

This is also why increasing your input volume of content exponentially grows your channel.

Once again, this is a model that doesn’t truly represent reality. It’s not exactly how these
social platforms work, but it’s a mental model that can be applied to explain the importance
of consistency.

8 Components 🧱🧩
1. Scheduler: scheduling software with an event configured for someone to book a call.
2. Platform: the platform you post content on (YouTube, IG, X, etc).
3. Funnel: a sales dedicated web page that converts traffic into appointments.
4. Ideation System: a system for coming up with content ideas.
5. Creation System: a system for creating content from scripted material.
6. Storing System: a system for storing content and organising it.
7. Packaging System: a system for packaging content (relevant to YouTube).
8. Distribution System: a system for distributing content (uploading, scheduling etc).

Step By Step: Building Inbound Systems 🧱🔨

Step 1: Scheduler

1.1: Use these instructions to get set up: Step 1: Scheduler

^ for detailed video instructions please refer to ‘building outbound systems’.

Step 2: Platform

2.1: Decide which platform you’re going to create content on.

^ this should be based on where your niche is. For example, there’s not much point in
posting on LinkedIn if you’re working with gym owners.

Note: I’d suggest building an inbound system for the major platforms your niche uses. For
example, my niche is agency owners, coaches, consultants & high ticket B2B. So I use
YouTube, X, Instagram + some LinkedIn etc.

2.2: Decide which platform is your Primary platform (the platform with highest leverage).
2.3: If necessary, decide which platform is your Secondary platform (second most leverage).
2.4: If necessary, decide which platform is your Tertiary platform (third most leverage).

For example - YouTube is my primary platform, Instagram is my secondary platform & X is

my tertiary platform.

Step 3: Funnel

3.1: Use these instructions to build your inbound conversion funnel:

To give you the next 5 steps, I’ve taken resources from EasyGrow. EasyGrow contains a ton
of inbound systems, but I wanted to give you a taste of the level of detail we provide there to
give you more of a window into it. They’re specific to YouTube, but can be applied to any
inbound system (whether it’s X, LinkedIn post writing, Instagram reels, TikTok, etc).

If you want to apply for EasyGrow, you can do so below the video in the video description!
