Meditation Tips:

Tips for meditation from GAIAM

• Sit or lie comfortably. You may even want to invest in a meditation

chair or cushion.
• Close your eyes. We recommend using one of our Cooling Eye
Masks or Restorative Eye Pillows if lying down.
• Make no effort to control the breath; simply breathe naturally.
• Focus your attention on the breath and on how the body moves
with each inhalation and exhalation. Notice the movement of your
body as you breathe. Observe your chest, shoulders, rib cage, and
belly. Simply focus your attention on your breath without
controlling its pace or intensity.
• If your mind wanders, return your focus back to your breath.

Meditation Tools:

Muse

Muse: the brain sensing headband will elevate your meditation

experience. It gently guides your meditation through changing sounds
of weather based on the real-time state of your brain. This allows you
to obtain a deeper sense of focus and motivates you to build a highly
rewarding practice. Meditation has been scientifically shown to reduce
symptoms associated with stress, depression and anxiety as well as
improve focus, performance and quality of life.
