Instructions for submitting the problem sets
First try the problem yourself. If you can do it – fine. If not, paste the problem into an AI and
note the solution. Make sure you understand the solution and then HAND COPY the solution
for submission. If there are steps in the solution that you don’t understand, ask the AI for
clarification. You will find the AI to be very patient, and the AI will never criticize you for
asking as many questions as you wish!
Problem 1 In the paper Agentic Misalignment, what in your opinion is the
ethically worst thing that the AI suggested? Were there other suggestions that were almost as
bad?
From the textbook Problems 1.1, 1.8, 1.12, 1.22 (a) & (d), 1.24, 1.32
You will find that your learning experiences will be enhanced by finding
something that is new and out of the ordinary. Get in the habit of going
beyond the material presented in class or in the textbook by researching
the Internet. If you find something that you think will be of interest to me
and to the class, let me know and we will discuss it in class.
