(𝑖𝑖) A camping group has planned a trip to explore the jungles of North Bengal. As a part of their
preparations, they have ordered for conical tents. The tents were made to exactly meet the necessary
given volume requirements. However, the tents are to be made with least curved surface area in order to
minimise the expenses of canvas. Show that, the semi vertical angle of the tent should be cot −1 √2 , so
as to ensure minimum expense.

Virat and Rohit plays a game using an unbiased coin. Virat gives Rs. 1, and throws the coin 4 times. If
Virat throws four heads, he gets Rs. 3 from Rohit. If he throws only three heads, and the heads are
consecutive, then he gets Rs. 2 from Rohit. If Virat throws only two heads, and they are consecutive,

(𝑖) A manufacturing company produces two types of cell phones, Oppo and Vivo. The company has
the resources to make at most 300 sets a week. It takes Rs. 1800 to manufacture an Oppo set, and Rs.
2700 to manufacture a Vivo set. The company makes a profit of Rs. 510 per Oppo set, and Rs. 675 per
Vivo set. The company cannot spend more than Rs. 64800 a week. If 𝑥 and 𝑦 denote, respectively, the
number of Oppo sets and Vivo sets made each week, then formulate this problem as Linear
Programming Problem, given that the objective is to maximise the profit. Based on it, answer the
