Watermarks & Credits

When a watermark is considered promotion

A watermark is promotion if it:

✦︎ Displays a brand name, logo, handle, URL, or social media tag

Is clearly visible during normal consumption
✦︎ Remains present regardless of context (shared, reposted, cropped)
✦︎ Improves recognition or discoverability of a person, group, or platform
✦︎ This is why many platforms and competitions explicitly ban watermarks: they are
treated as self-advertising overlays.

When a watermark may not be considered promotion

Rare, but possible. A watermark may be considered non-promotional if:

✦︎ It is purely legal attribution (e.g., © Name – Year)

✦︎ It is discrete, non-stylized, and not optimized for visibility
✦︎ It does not contain contact info, usernames, or logos
✦︎ The context explicitly allows attribution marks (archives, portfolios, proofs)
✦︎ Even then, some institutions still classify it as promotion by default.

If the watermark helps someone answer “who made this and where can I find them?”
→ It is promotion.

Violations will result in a ban

10. No Spamming or Flooding

Do not spam or flood:

✦︎ Messages
✦︎ Emojis
✦︎ Images
✦︎ Links
✦︎ Reactions

Spamming includes repeated messages, copy-paste spam, or disruptive posting.

Punishments may include warnings, mutes, or timeouts.

11. Do Not Misuse Channels, Misinformation & Spoilers

Each channel has a specific purpose.

You must:

✦︎ Use channels correctly and stay on topic

✦︎ Follow pinned messages and channel-specific rules
✦︎ Do not spread misinformation or intentionally misleading content
✦︎ Always mark spoilers in the anime-discussion channel

Unmarked spoilers are not allowed and may result in punishment.

✦︎ Pinging users for trolling purposes

✦︎ Mentioning roles or channels without a valid reason

✦︎ Intentionally annoying, distracting, or harassing members through mentions

Misusing channels, spreading misinformation, abusing mentions, or ignoring spoiler

rules may result in warnings or further action.

Common questions

The guidelines strictly prohibit NSFW and NSFL content, including graphic violence, sexual content, and disturbing imagery. Exceptions are made for fictional media like anime or movies, provided the content is not excessively graphic, does not glorify violence, and serves discussion rather than shock purposes. This nuanced approach ensures that while disturbing content is largely restricted, allowances are made for cultural and entertainment discussions under controlled conditions .

The server's rules protect personal privacy by prohibiting the sharing, requesting, or threatening to share any personal or private information without consent. This includes details such as real names, addresses, IPs, or social media accounts. Even the threat of doxxing is severely punished. Additionally, members are advised not to share personal information publicly and to exercise caution in DMs to ensure their own safety, with the staff disclaiming responsibility for voluntary oversharing .

The server addresses abuse of staff resources by prohibiting unnecessary pinging of staff members such as helpers or developers for trivial matters. Instead, support channels and report systems are recommended. For moderation decisions, members are encouraged to appeal calmly through appropriate channels rather than public disputes. This approach respects staff time and decision integrity, while allowing for fair reconsideration of decisions when justified .

The server's rules emphasize a philosophical approach where the context always matters in moderation decisions. This implies that when enforcing rules, moderators must consider the full situation, including the intent and circumstances involved. This impacts rule enforcement by allowing for flexibility and a more tailored response based on the nuances of each situation, rather than a strict, one-size-fits-all policy .

Toxic behavior is defined as actions such as harassment, provocation, excessive negativity, or starting and escalating arguments. An exception is made for friendly joking, provided that it is mutual, consensual, and does not escalate into harassment or toxicity. If a joke becomes uncomfortable or crosses boundaries, it must cease immediately .

The policy prohibiting the use of alt accounts for avoiding punishments reflects the server's commitment to community integrity by upholding accountability and the consequences of individuals’ actions. By banning such practices, the server deters rule circumvention and ensures that members abide by community standards, thereby fostering trust and a sense of fairness among members .

Political content is prohibited because it often leads to conflict and division among members. Allowing such discussions could result in arguments, disrupt the community's harmony, and create an environment that diverges from the server's intended focus. The consequences of its presence can include increased hostility, aligning or alienating members, and potential breaches in conduct related to respect and inclusivity .

The zero tolerance policy for hate speech, including racism, homophobia, and other forms of discrimination, aligns with broader community standards that prioritize inclusivity and respect. This policy demonstrates a commitment to creating a safe environment for all members by immediately addressing violations with severe consequences such as bans. By prohibiting politically charged or divisive content, the server further protects against the introduction of potentially harmful rhetoric and maintains a focus on respectful interaction .

The server differentiates watermarks based on their purpose and visibility. A watermark is considered promotional if it displays a brand name, logo, or URL visibly to enhance recognition. Conversely, non-promotional watermarks are discreet, purely for legal attribution, and not optimized for visibility. This differentiation impacts content sharing by prohibiting self-promotion while allowing for necessary attribution, maintaining focus on user engagement without promotion distractions .

The server maintains communication integrity by requiring the correct use of channels, adherence to rules about staying on topic, and the marking of spoilers, especially in channels like anime discussions. Disruptive mentions, pings without valid reasons, and misinformation are penalized to prevent miscommunication. These rules uphold an orderly and respectful exchange environment, promoting informed and concise exchanges devoid of disruptive or misleading content .
