Project Engineer

Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Project & Production Coordination

 Develop project objectives and define specifications based on client requirements.


 Prepare material lists, cutting plans, and ad-hoc drawings to support fabrication.
 Assist the Project Manager in production planning and monitor work progress on the
factory floor.
 Coordinate with clients regarding fabrication status, inspections, and delivery schedules.
 Order materials, track delivery, and ensure timely availability of resources and
equipment.
 Verify cost estimations prepared by the Quantity Surveyor to support budgeting
accuracy.
 Arrange and accompany QA/QC inspections and owner site visits when required.
 Ensure that all fabricated items meet technical specifications before delivery.
 Update production documentation, including Master Lists, Actual Tonnage Records, and
Monthly Production Reports.
 Manage logistics and arrange delivery for completed items.
 Support various project-related administrative tasks as assigned.

2. Safety & ISO Compliance

 Assist in maintaining all safety certifications and ensure validity of factory equipment
(e.g., fire extinguishers, lifting gear).
 Supervise daily worker safety and conduct fortnightly safety briefings.
 Revise and update Risk Assessments and Safe Work Procedures.
 Prepare and file safety documentation, including:
 Safety Inspection Checklists
 First Aid Box Records
 Lifting Plans
 Accident Reports and Statistics
 Coordinate and document accident investigations when necessary.
 Ensure ISO-related documentation is current and audit-ready.

3. Job Requirement

 Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.


 Familiarity with fabrication drawings, welding processes, and QA/QC standards.
 Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask across production and documentation
duties.
 Good communication skills and confidence in liaising with clients and third-party
inspectors.
 Knowledge of ISO standards and safety regulations is highly advantageous.
