A Dialogue Between Father and Son on Choice of Profession
Father: Good morning, Hasib! How are you?
Son: Good morning, Father. I am fine. And you?
Father: I’m fine too. I’m very happy that you passed the exam with a good result.
Now you have to choose your future profession.
Son: Yes, Father. I will follow your advice.
Father: First tell me about your own choice.
Son: Father, I want to be a doctor, if you agree.
Father: That’s a wonderful choice. A doctor can serve people and save lives. But
it needs hard work.
Son: Yes, Father. I am ready to work hard.
Father: Good. This profession also needs patience, honesty, and sacrifice.
Son: I understand. If I study regularly and sincerely, I can reach my goal.
Father: Excellent! I support your decision. But I advise you to study science first
and then join a medical college.
Son: Yes, Father. I will study science in a good college. But it may cost more
money.
Father: Don’t worry about money. I will manage everything. Your future is more
important.
Son: Thank you very much, Father.
Father: I am proud of you, my son.
Son: Thank you, Father.
