keeping the school clean and eco-friendly.
Question: “What would be the product of your machine? How do you make funds or
where will you get the coins used as rewards?”
Answer (confident student-style): “The main product of our machine is the
promotion of recycling through automation and rewards. It’s not just about
collecting bottles — it’s about building discipline and environmental awareness
among students. As for the coins, they can come from school funds or sponsorships.
The idea is that the school or partners can allocate a small budget for rewards,
which can later be replenished using the collected bottles sold to recycling centers.
This creates a cycle — the bottles fund the rewards.
” if ask like a modern junk shop
Answer (natural & confident): “Yes, exactly, sir/ma’am! It works like a modern junk
shop, but automated. Instead of people manually collecting and weighing bottles,
our machine instantly identifies, accepts, and rewards users for recycling. It’s faster,
cleaner, and more encouraging — especially for students.”
Q: How will your machine collect enough coins or funds to give as rewards? A: “The
coins can be funded through school programs, donations, or partnerships with
recycling companies that buy the collected plastic. In the future, we also plan to link
it to digital points or eco-credits instead of real coins.”
Q: Where will the collected bottles go after being stored inside the machine?
A: “The bottles will be collected and sold to recycling centers. The funds from selling
them can be used to refill the machine’s rewards or maintain it.”
Q: What kind of plastic bottles can the machine accept?
A: “It mainly accepts PET bottles — the common type used for water or soft drinks
— since our sensors are calibrated for plastic detection.”
Q: How is your machine different from ordinary recycling bins?
A: “Unlike regular bins, REBOT motivates users by giving instant rewards. It doesn’t
just collect bottles — it teaches discipline and encourages recycling habits.”
Q: If the machine breaks down or runs out of coins, what will happen?
A: “A maintenance team or assigned school staff will check it regularly. We can also
add an alert system to notify when coins or storage are full.
” Q: How can you expand this project beyond the school?
A: “We can install REBOT machines in public areas or partner with local government
units for community recycling programs.”

LEM “Every bottle thrown away tells a story — one of which is waste pollution. Every
day, we see plastic piling up in [Link] schools are one of the perpetrator of
such problems. But what if we could rewrite that story?”
Plastic Pollution: ELE
Plastic pollution is a serious environmental problem. Tons of plastic waste end up in
oceans and landfills, harming animals, people, and nature.
GHON And here we are to address the problem Hence, our innovation-REBOT:
Rewarding Eco-Based Optimized Technology — an automated plastic bottle-to-cash
machine that turns discarded bottles into opportunities. merging environmental
awareness with innovation and reward.” STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
Our Rebot machine focuses on How may the Rebot G;
1.) How may the REBOT bottle to cash machine be describe in terms of: I;
1.1 Capacity Build Up
1.2 Dispensing capability
1.3 Sensor Synchronization
E; 2.) Is there a significant relationship between capacity build up, dispensing
capablity and sensor synchronization? So here is our materials that we used to build
the Rebot machine –
Consultation GHON
So here we first consult with expert engr which is Sir Richard Avila who helps to
address the Rebot machine
GHON - Schematic Design Then the schematic design which offer by Sir Richar to
the created digital blueprint to guide REBOT’s structure and function.
ELE – Gathering Materials Next, we moved on to the gathering of materials, where
Sir Richard provided us with the list of components needed for the project.
ELE – Interior Assembly After that, with the help and guidance of Sir Richard, we
assembled all the parts and successfully made the machine work.
LEM – Assembly of Trash Cap Finally, we carefully attached the trash cap section to
ensure it was stable and properly aligned with the machine for smooth operation.
“This is our schematic design of the Rebot Machine. From the name itself, it is a
reverse vending machine. It has a bottle dispenser where users insert their bottles
and an accept button to confirm input. The LCD display module shows the total
bottles collected and rewards, while the coin hopper releases the coins as a reward.
The trash cap protects the internal components, and the trash bin serves as the
main container for accepted bottles. This reward system encourages students to
dispose of their bottles properly, promoting environmental awareness and
discipline.”
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION ELE
The pie chart shows the success rate of the REBOT system components during
testing. Among all parts, the servo trigger achieved the highest performance at
24.3%, followed by the accept button (21.9%), LCD display and coin hopper (20%
each), and circuit board (14%). This indicates that all components functioned
effectively, with the servo trigger showing the most consistent reliability in the
system.
