This research aims to examine the impact of social media on English vocabulary acquisition among Egyptian university students using a quantitative approach through a questionnaire. Methodology

The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of using social media on Egyptian
university students’ English vocabulary acquisition. This research will be approached using the
quantitative method, where a questionnaire will be sent to each student consisting of 10
questions. A questionnaire was decided to be used as the tool as it can be easily spread around
campus and is quicker to get results out of. Based on the students’ answers, charts and tables will
be created in order to group students who answered similarly together and identify whether
social media does have an effect on English vocabulary acquisition or not.

The purpose of this research is to enhance the education in Egypt. The questionnaire is being
conducted by Misr International University (MIU). The questionnaire’s purpose is to identify
whether social media affects English language vocabulary acquisition. The survey is completely
voluntary and your responses are anonymous. Thank you for your time and cooperation.
