sa`aotsa
Srotas word is generally referred to as “CHANNELS” which is forms the body’s internal transport system. It
is responsible for carrying the Dahtus which undergoing transformation. More Precisely they can be referred
to as “METABOLIC PATHWAYS.” Srotas is defined as
sa`vaNaat\ sa`aotaMisa [Link].30À12
The structure which oozes out continuously is called as ‘SROTAS’.

That which spreads through out the body as the roots of the plant spread out and it has a space within which
carries the transforming Dhatus except isara and QamanaI

Srotas refers to a structure which is responsible for carrying the Dahtus which undergoing transformation. The
word Aayana is also referred to as Srotas.

Srotas will have the colour similar to that of the corresponding Dhatu it is carrying. These are attributed to have different
shapes like round, big, minute, linear and resembles to a creeper in it structure.

As there are innumerable bavas present in the body in the same way there are innumerable Srotas present in the body.
