Trigonometry Formula Sheet

Basic Ratios
sin θ = Opposite / Hypotenuse
cos θ = Adjacent / Hypotenuse
tan θ = Opposite / Adjacent
cosec θ = 1 / sin θ
sec θ = 1 / cos θ
cot θ = 1 / tan θ

Standard Values
sin 0° = 0, cos 0° = 1, tan 0° = 0
sin 30° = 1/2, cos 30° = √3/2, tan 30° = 1/√3
sin 45° = 1/√2, cos 45° = 1/√2, tan 45° = 1
sin 60° = √3/2, cos 60° = 1/2, tan 60° = √3
sin 90° = 1, cos 90° = 0

Identities
sin²θ + cos²θ = 1
1 + tan²θ = sec²θ
1 + cot²θ = cosec²θ

Co-function Identities
sin(90°−θ) = cos θ
cos(90°−θ) = sin θ
tan(90°−θ) = cot θ
sec(90°−θ) = cosec θ

Sum and Difference

sin(A±B) = sinA cosB ± cosA sinB
cos(A±B) = cosA cosB ■ sinA sinB
tan(A±B) = (tanA ± tanB) / (1 ■ tanA tanB)

Double Angle
sin 2A = 2 sinA cosA
cos 2A = cos²A − sin²A = 1 − 2 sin²A = 2 cos²A − 1
tan 2A = 2 tanA / (1 − tan²A)
