1. How often do you consume caffeinated beverages?

M4 Isabelle Yoo: I usually consume caffeinated beverages once per two days. However, if I was busy or had
stuff important to do, I consumed two to three cups every day.
M5B Harvey Hu: I usually drink caffeine drinks about 4 times a week
DP1 Agnes Chen: At least one per day. (Including home-made latte, Americano, and convenience store beverage
products)

2. What are the primary reasons you consume caffeinated beverages?


M4 Isabelle Yoo: At first, I used caffeine to wake up, but I eventually began to enjoy caffeinated drinks like
coffee and also took them to ease exhaustion.
M5B Harvey Hu: I drink coffee to keep me in a good mental state during school
DP1 Agnes Chen: Caffeinated products can help me to refresh my brain and get ready for the school day. It
helps me feel more alert than when I go to school without drinking any caffeinated drinks. I also consume these
products frequently when I face large workloads or conditions that require me to work on multiple tasks at the
same time. Caffeinated beverages are definitely a very effective substance for helping me concentrate and stay
energized.

3. Where do you usually get information about caffeine and its effects
M4 Isabelle Yoo: I've learned about the effects of caffeine and other related information in school and from
books. And I additionally learned about the impacts, including real-life examples, from online resources and my
parents.
M5B Harvey Hu: I usually get information from online website for me to understand different types of caffeine
drinks and the information about the effects after drinking it
DP1 Agnes Chen: The internet and my family's experiences are some resources i can get information about
caffeine. I often search the internet for health-related questions like whether excessive coffee consumption
affects heart rate, as I need to ensure that while enjoying some positive effects of caffeine, I'm not overly
impacted by some of its negative effects. I also frequently ask my parents for their opinions on caffeinated
beverages, like whether caffeine can cause sleep disorders or other more personalized negative effects. This
helps me tailor my consumption of these products according to my own situation.

4. Do your friends influence your caffeine consumption habits? If yes, how?


M4 Isabelle Yoo: I think my friends influenced my coffee consumption habits. In my case, I started consuming
caffeine since impacted by my friends. In the beginning, I followed my friends and also consumed caffeine at
their recommendation. And I soon began to look for and consume it on my own.
M5B Harvey Hu: Yes, My friends have recommended me to drink caffeine drinks, telling me that it will keep
me in good spirits. I started to drink caffeine drinks when I stay up late doing my homework, and it became a
habit of drinking such drinks.
DP1 Agnes Chen: Yes, in fact, my first try of the caffeinated beverages was because my friend said that caffeine
could suppress sleepiness, boost energy, and improve focus, which would help me work more efficiently and
concentrate better for work. After experiencing the benefits of caffeine for the first time, I gradually developed a
habit of consuming caffeinated products. When I study with friends or in work groups, we often go to coffee
shops to have coffee while we work, and this has definitely influenced my coffee-drinking habits.

5. Have you ever had side-effects drinking caffeine beverages?

M5B Harvey Hu: Sometimes, Coffee had made my heartbeat faster, so that I can’t get to sleep and feel
uncomfortable.
DP1 Agnes Chen: Increasing heart rate, anxiety, headaches, muscles sore (like cervical part)
