QUANTITATIVE DATE ANALYSIS
This are used in describing a set of data. This
includes frequency count, percentage,
DESCRIPTIVE mesures of central
STATISTICS tendency (mean, median and mode) and
mesures of variability (range, variance and
standard deviation).
FREQUENTLY Measure of the number times that an event
or observation occurs.
COUNTS
A part of a whole expresses in
PERCENTAGE hundredths.
QUANTITATIVE DATE
ANALYSIS TECHNIQUES
• The average of the given set of data.
Mean • Computational Average
Weighted Mean- Likert Scale
The middle most value when data are
arranged (Ascending and Descending
Median order).
Positional average
The value/s that appear/s most often.
Mode Nominal Average
The difference between the largest and
Range smallest values in a set of data.
QUANTITATIVE DATE ANALYSIS
VARIANCE The squared value of standard deviation.
STARDARD The measure of the dispersion of the set of
DEVIATION data from its mean.

QUANTITATIVE DATA ANALYSIS TECHNIQUES
In inferential statistics, data are analyzed from a
sample to make inferences in the larger collection
of the population. The purpose is to answer or test
the hypotheses. Hypothesis testing is, thus, a
procedure for making rational decisions about the
reality of observed facts. A hypothesis (plural
hypotheses) is a proposed explanation for a
phenomenon.
FORMS OF HYPOTHESIS
NULL HYPOTHESIS ALTERNATIVE
HYPOTHESIS
—is a denial of -is an affirmation of
existence of existence of
significant difference, significant
effect or relationship difference, effect or
- states that there is relationship
no significant -states that there is a
difference, effect or significant difference,
relationship between effect or relationship
or among variables. between or among
variables.
ASSUMPTIONS OF
PARAMETRIC TEST
INFERENTIAL STATISTICAL
TECHNIQUES
t-test of independent It determines whether
the means of two
samples independent groups
differ significantly.
It determines whether
t-test of dependent the means of the two
samples dependent groups differ
significantly.
INFERENTIAL STATISTICAL
TECHNIQUES
It mesures the strengths and
direction
Pearson r of the relationship of the linear
two
variables.
It mesures relationship
Spearman rho between ordinal
variables.
INFERENTIAL STATISTICAL TECHNIQUES
Using p-value method
If the p-value is less than or equal to the
level of significance, then we reject the
null hypothesis. It means that the
difference or relationship is significant.
If the p-value is greater than the level of
significance, then we fail to reject the null
hypothesis. It means that the difference
or relationship is not significant.
INFERENTIAL STATISTICAL TECHNIQUES
Using critical value approach
If the computed is greater than the
tabular or critical value, then we reject
the null hypothesis. It means that the
difference or relationship is significant.
If the computed value is lesser than or
equal to the tabular or critical value, then
we fail to reject the null hypothesis. It
means that the difference or relationship
is not significant.
