Exams
I go through so much stress
To end up with success
But being dumb like me
Is hard to be free
All this stress for nothing
Makes me let go of the things I’m loving
Stuck on my phone all day
No wonder I rot away
Maybe I just don’t revise much
I don’t even know how I got into Nonsuch
I think all the pressure from my parents
To fulfill their requirements
Perhaps it was because I was smart enough
But now it's getting too tough
Even when there’s tests
Teachers say don’t stress
But what can I do...
All the work is making me feel hopeless
Equations dance and dates collide,
Our brains a rollercoaster ride.
We scribble answers far and wide,
And hope our grades take mercy's side.
Exams, oh what a dreadful chore,
They leave us tired, our brains so sore.
We cram and stress and hope for more,
But often end up on the floor.
