give our MC another round of applause — they made this hall sound livelier than
Monday morning announcements!
Ladies and gentlemen, respected teachers, and dear students — welcome to one of the
most exciting intellectual events of the year: The Student Council Debate Session!
Today, we’re not just watching a debate. We’re witnessing the next generation of
leaders take the stage — the ones who may someday lead our school, our city… or at
least our group chats.
🏅 Introducing the Candidates
Now, please allow me to introduce our candidates for Student Council Leaders and
their Vice Leaders.
When I call your name, please step forward with confidence — and yes, your best
smile counts as a leadership skill.
Candidate 1 and their Vice Leader! (pause for applause)

⚖️Rules of the Debate
Before we begin, let me outline the rules so everyone is on the same page — and to
make sure our debate remains passionate but polite.
Each candidate will:
Pick one question randomly.
Have 30 seconds to think — that’s just enough time to organize their thoughts or
rehearse their best “I totally know the answer” face.
Then, 90 seconds to present their answer.
After that, there will be two rebuttal sessions — each lasting 150 seconds, where
other candidates can respond or offer their perspectives.
Audience, your role is simple: listen carefully, support respectfully, and please, save
the “mic-drop moments” for the candidates.
🧭 ROUND 1 — Candidate 1
Let’s begin with Candidate 1. Please approach the Question Box — a very
mysterious box that may contain your greatest challenge or your easiest blessing.
You now have 30 seconds to think. (Light pause, then jokingly)
This is the moment where deep thinking faces meet the spotlight.
Time’s up! Candidate 1, your 90 seconds start now.
(After the answer)
Thank you, Candidate 1, for your insightful response.
Now, it’s time for the rebuttal sessions — the part of the debate where ideas are
sharpened, and perhaps a few egos are gently tested.
First, Candidate 2, you have 150 seconds to respond.
Then, Candidate 3, your 150 seconds will follow.
Remember, this is a debate, not a duel — words are your only weapons here.
🧭 ROUND 2 — Candidate 2
Next, we invite Candidate 2 to pick a question from the Box of Destiny.
You have 30 seconds to think.

Closing Statements and Yel-Yel!
Each candidate will have 2 minutes to summarize their vision, and then deliver their
signature Yel-Yel — a creative expression of their team spirit and energy.
We’ll begin with Candidate 1, followed by Candidate 2, and end with Candidate 3.
Candidates, this is your grand finale — your opportunity to show both heart and
humor, conviction and creativity.
