Begin by reading through the pattern to get a good overview and a smooth start. The individual
parts of the dog are crocheted with 1 strand of Friends Cotton 8/4 held together with 1 strand of
Steviedoodle. All pieces are crocheted in the round, unless otherwise stated. Stuff all parts
firmly before assembling.

FRONT LEG X 2
Rnd 1: 6 sc in a mr (6)
Rnd 2: *2 sc in one st* (12)
Rnd 3: *1 sc in one st* (12)​
Rnd 4: *1 sc, sc2tog* (8)
Rnds 5-10 (6 rounds): 1 sc in each st (8)
Stuff.

Place the safety snout in the middle of the snout, approx. between rnds 1 and 2.

EAR X 2​
Ch 12, turn and begin in 2nd stitch from the hook, 11 sc, ch 1, turn
Rws 2-5 (4 rows): 11 sc, ch 1, turn
Rw 6: 10 sc, 3 sc in the last st, don’t turn, but continue around the ear, 2 sc, 3 sc in one st, 10

Stuff the head.

ASSEMBLY
I think that you should sew the different parts onto the toy in the way you think looks best. I
did as follows:

Stuff the snout and sew it onto the lower part of the head.
Place the safety eyes on the head just above the snout, so that the safety nose is centered
between them. ​
Sew the ears onto the head.
Sew the head onto the body. Remember to stuff before closing completely. ​
Sew the tail onto the body on the back.​
Sew the hind legs and front legs onto the dog.

Tip: It can be a good idea to pin all the parts in place with sewing pins before sewing them
on, so you can adjust the expression.
