Good afternoon po, we are the fourth group and we are to present our research

proposal entitled: TRACING CAREER PATHS OF BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN

MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING (BSMA) GRADUATES IN CLSU: UNDERSTANDING

WHAT DRIVES THEIR CHOICES

This study attempts to ascertain the factors that impact the professional choices of

BSMA graduates of Central Luzon State University (CLSU) as well as the current career

paths they pursue.

It specifically seeks to identify the common industries and positions pursued by BSMA

graduates, examine how sex assigned at birth influences their career paths, and

analyze the role of financial factors—such as expected salary and economic

background—in shaping their employment decisions.

Alam naman natin na, unlike other business programs, the BSMA program does not

have a licensure exam. Because of this, maraming tanong kung ano nga ba ang usual

career path ng mga BSMA graduates, at kung saan sila kadalasang napupunta sa

professional field.

Financial factors strongly influence career decisions among undergraduate and

graduate students, especially in business-related fields. Research by Ahmed et al.

(2017) found that financial support from parents and scholarships, as well as

expectations of future benefits like higher salaries and promotions, affect career

choices. In management accounting, individuals often prioritize jobs with competitive

pay, stability, and benefits, particularly those from lower-income backgrounds. Overall,
salary expectations, financial circumstances, and job perks play a key role in shaping

career preferences.

Descriptive statistics is the most appropriate data analysis method for our study

because ang main goal talaga ng research namin ay mag-describe at mag-summarize

ng trends sa career paths ng BS Management Accounting graduates. Hindi namin

kailangan mag-test ng causation or magpredict; ang kailangan namin ay malinaw na

larawan kung ano ang nangyayari sa actual career choices ng graduates. Overall,

descriptive statistics supports our study by giving a clear, organized, and accessible

presentation of data, which is exactly what we need to trace their career paths and

understand what drives their choices
