WORKERS

PREFACE

Innovative Idea Development is the overall process of taking a service or a product from

conception to market. New products and services are meant to fill a consumer demand or an

opportunity in the marketplace. New products generally differ from a product line extension.

Examples of new products Include things like one-cup gourmet coffee machines. Keurig

machine offered the gourmet coffee experience previously only found in a coffee shop, right

at home. Examples of product line extensions include products like Diet Coke. Coca-Cola

company used Diet Coke to target the market of soda drinkers that wanted a lower calorie

soda than their regular Coke product. However, the looser definition of New Product Includes

not only new to the world products and services, but also new to the market and new to the

company products. It is basically catering to a heretofore untapped customer need or want or

desire.

This project has been carried out, to fill the gap between employers and workers.

In many regions, daily wage laborers form a crucial part of the workforce, providing essential

services across various sectors such as construction, cleaning, gardening, and domestic help.

However, these laborers often face challenges in finding consistent work due to a lack of

direct access to potential employers and limited marketing of their services. This project aims

to create an online platform that connects daily wage laborers directly with individuals and

businesses in need of their services, facilitating a more efficient and equitable job market.

In this revolutionary era of technology and modernization, where everything has become

digital but there is a section in the Society the ‘Laborer’ - who is the backbone of every

economy, remain largely unrecognized and undervalued despite their essential role in daily

life, many labors find themselves marginalised and uncategorised struggling for proper

acknowledgement. Their contributions, vital to the functioning of urban and rural ecosystems,

2
are overshadowed by societal biased and lack of proper platforms to showcase their skills.

Today, when we go to the market in the morning, we often see workers Standing at one place

in the market, waiting for someone to come and take them to work, without any guarantee of

fairness, respect or even proper compensation This project aims to bridge this gap by creating

a platform that connects these hardworking individuals directly to those who need their

services while ensuring dignity, fair pay and recognition for their efforts. The platform works

as intermediary, allowing users to easily find skilled workers for various tasks and services-

from construction to household works- while ensuring that laborers recognized and fairly

compensated for their expertise. By organizing their Expertise into categories, we aim to

bring Structure to this often-overlooked workforce. Inspired by models like OYO and

Zomato, this platform not only bridges the gap between demand and Supply but also

empowers laborers by providing them with a sense of belonging and respect in the digital

economy.

CHAPTER-1

➢ INTRODUCTION

New products/services are very essential for corporate success. Innovation is a must if you

want to continue competing in the market. However, the new product development is one of

the riskiest processes that require focus and high investments. In today's market, careful

planning and a good product strategy are essential to help you succeed in the market.

Companies develop a large number of new products/services every year, but most of these

products fail to secure competitive advantages and end up adding high costs for the company.

Several studies have been done in the successful product launch cases, and success drivers

have been discovered. Among others, developing new unique products that are customer

centric and focus on several customer benefits should be the company mission. Continuous

research and planning are necessary if a company wants to launch a successful

product/service. All the employees of the company need to be involved, starting from R&D

to Marketing, to sales, to finances and so on.

In every corner of the world, daily wage workers form the backbone of economies,

contributing tirelessly to industries such as construction, agriculture, hospitality,

manufacturing, and more. These workers, often referred to as "mazdoors," play a vital role in

building infrastructure, growing food, and providing essential services that keep societies

functioning. Yet, despite their indispensable contributions, they remain among the most

vulnerable and marginalized groups, facing challenges such as inconsistent work

opportunities, lack of fair wages, limited access to social security, and exploitation. The

informal nature of their employment often leaves them without a safety net, making it

difficult to break the cycle of poverty and achieve financial stability.

7
In recent years, the rise of digital technology has opened up new possibilities for addressing

these challenges. Platforms that connect workers with employers, provide access to resources,

and offer opportunities for skill development have the potential to transform the lives of

millions of daily wage workers. This is where Mazdoor Help comes in—a visionary

platform designed to empower daily wage workers by bridging the gap between their needs

and the opportunities available to them.

Mazdoor Help is more than just a job portal; it is a comprehensive ecosystem that aims to

uplift workers by providing them with the tools, resources, and support they need to thrive.

By leveraging the power of technology, Mazdoor Help seeks to create a fair, transparent, and

inclusive environment where workers can find meaningful employment, access essential

services, and improve their quality of life. At the same time, the platform benefits employers

by connecting them with reliable, skilled labor, ensuring that their projects are completed

efficiently and effectively.

The concept of Mazdoor Help is rooted in the belief that every worker deserves dignity,

respect, and the opportunity to build a better future. Whether it is a construction worker

looking for a day's job, a farmer seeking seasonal labor, or a domestic helper in need of

steady employment, Mazdoor Help aims to be their go-to platform for finding work and

accessing support. By addressing the unique challenges faced by daily wage workers, the

platform has the potential to create a ripple effect, improving not only the lives of individual

workers but also their families and communities.

One of the key strengths of Mazdoor Help is its focus on inclusivity and accessibility.

Recognizing that many daily wage workers may not have access to smartphones or the

internet, the platform is designed to be user-friendly and compatible with low-end devices. It

also offers multilingual support to cater to workers from diverse linguistic and cultural

8
backgrounds. Additionally, Mazdoor Help incorporates features such as location-based job

searches, transparent payment systems, and skill-matching algorithms to ensure that workers

can find opportunities that align with their abilities and preferences.

Beyond job matching, Mazdoor Help is committed to addressing the broader needs of daily

wage workers. This includes providing access to training and upskilling programs, informing

workers about government welfare schemes, and offering emergency assistance in times of

crisis. The platform also fosters a sense of community by creating spaces where workers can

share their experiences, seek advice, and support one another.

In a world where technology is increasingly shaping the way we live and work, Mazdoor

Help represents a powerful example of how innovation can be harnessed for social good. By

bringing together workers, employers, NGOs, government agencies, and other stakeholders,

the platform has the potential to create a more equitable and sustainable future for daily wage

workers. It is a step toward recognizing their contributions, addressing their challenges, and

ensuring that no one is left behind in the journey toward progress.

As we move forward, the success of Mazdoor Help will depend on collaboration, innovation,

and a shared commitment to empowering those who work tirelessly to build the world around

us. Together, we can create a platform that not only transforms the lives of daily wage

workers but also strengthens the foundations of our societies. Mazdoor Help is not just a

tool—it is a movement toward dignity, equality, and opportunity for all.

9
CHAPTER-2

➢ OBJECTIVES

The objectives of Mazdoor Help are centered around creating a transformative impact on the

lives of daily wage workers by addressing their challenges and providing them with

opportunities for growth, stability, and dignity. Below are the key objectives of the platform:

1. Provide Access to Employment Opportunities

• Objective: Connect daily wage workers with employers seeking temporary, part-

time, or project-based labor.

• Why It Matters: Many workers struggle to find consistent work due to a lack of

reliable platforms. Mazdoor Help aims to bridge this gap by offering a centralized

space for job postings and searches.

2. Ensure Fair and Transparent Wages

• Objective: Establish a system that guarantees fair wages and transparent payment

processes.

• Why It Matters: Daily wage workers often face exploitation and underpayment.

Mazdoor Help will standardize wage rates and promote digital payments to ensure

workers receive their dues promptly.

10
3. Reduce Exploitation and Middlemen Interference

• Objective: Eliminate the role of exploitative middlemen by directly connecting

workers with employers.

• Why It Matters: Middlemen often take a significant cut of workers' earnings.

Mazdoor Help will ensure that workers receive their full wages directly.

4. Create Awareness and Advocacy

• Objective: Raise awareness about the challenges faced by daily wage workers and

advocate for their rights.

• Why It Matters: Many workers are unaware of their rights or lack the means to

demand fair treatment. Mazdoor Help will educate and empower them to stand up for

themselves.

5. Leverage Technology for Accessibility

• Objective: Develop a user-friendly platform that is accessible to workers with limited

digital literacy and resources.

The platform should be designed in such a way that workers who are digital literate

are informed about their work through calls.

• Why It Matters: Technology can be a powerful tool for empowerment, but only if it

is designed with the end-user in mind. Mazdoor Help will prioritize simplicity and

inclusivity.

11
6. Collaborate with Stakeholders

• Objective: Partner with NGOs, government agencies, private companies, and training

institutes to expand the platform's reach and impact.

• Why It Matters: Collaboration is key to addressing the multifaceted challenges faced

by daily wage workers. Mazdoor Help will work with diverse stakeholders to create

holistic solutions.

12
CHAPTER-3

➢ IMPORTANCE

The importance of Mazdoor Help lies in its potential to address the systemic challenges faced

by daily wage workers, while also creating a positive ripple effect on society, the economy,

and the labor market. Below are the key reasons why Mazdoor Help is a crucial initiative:

1. Empowering Vulnerable Workers

• Why It Matters: Daily wage workers are among the most vulnerable groups in

society, often lacking job security, fair wages, and access to social benefits. Mazdoor

Help empowers them by providing consistent work opportunities, fair pay, and access

to resources that improve their quality of life.

2. Reducing Poverty and Inequality

• Why It Matters: Many daily wage workers live below the poverty line due to

inconsistent income and exploitation. By ensuring fair wages and steady employment,

Mazdoor Help can help lift workers out of poverty and reduce economic inequality.

3. Promoting Financial Inclusion

• Why It Matters: A significant number of daily wage workers are excluded from

formal financial systems. Mazdoor Help promotes financial inclusion by encouraging

digital payments and connecting workers with banking services, helping them save

and plan for the future.

13
4. Bridging the Informal-Formal Labor Gap

• Why It Matters: Daily wage workers often operate in the informal economy, which

lacks regulation and protections. Mazdoor Help acts as a bridge, bringing informal

workers into a more structured and transparent system, ensuring they receive fair

treatment and benefits.

5. Enhancing Skill Development

• Why It Matters: Many workers lack access to training and upskilling opportunities,

limiting their earning potential. Mazdoor Help provides skill development programs,

enabling workers to access better-paying jobs and break the cycle of low-wage labor.

6. Creating a Transparent and Fair Labor Market

• Why It Matters: Exploitation and lack of transparency are common issues in the

informal labor market. Mazdoor Help establishes a fair and transparent system where

workers and employers can interact directly, eliminating middlemen and ensuring fair

wages.

7. Supporting Women and Marginalized Groups

• Why It Matters: Women and marginalized communities often face additional

barriers in accessing work. Mazdoor Help promotes gender equality and inclusivity,

ensuring that everyone has equal opportunities to earn a livelihood.

14
8. Reducing Exploitation and Middlemen Interference

• Why It Matters: Middlemen often exploit workers by taking a large cut of their

earnings. Mazdoor Help eliminates this interference, ensuring that workers receive

their full wages directly and are treated fairly.

9. Creating a Positive Social Impact

• Why It Matters: By improving the lives of daily wage workers, Mazdoor Help

creates a positive social impact that extends to their families and communities.

Empowered workers can provide better education, healthcare, and opportunities for

their children, breaking the cycle of poverty.

10. Supporting Employers and Businesses

• Why It Matters: Employers often struggle to find reliable and skilled labor. Mazdoor

Help connects them with verified workers, ensuring that their projects are completed

efficiently and effectively.

15
CHAPTER-4

➢ METHODOLOGY (INNOVATION PROCESS)

The development and implementation of Mazdoor Help follow a structured methodology

to ensure efficiency, user adoption, and scalability. This process integrates design

thinking, agile development, and iterative innovation to create a solution that

effectively meets the needs of daily wage workers and employers.

Whenever we go to the market in the morning you see a group of people gathered in one

place with their work tools in hand. They wait for an hour or more to get work from a

stranger hoping that someone will come looking for them for work and then they will go with

them for their work and then they will negotiate with each other and decide the remuneration.

So, first of all, this idea originated from the physical presence in the market, then I decided to

do a proper research on this category, I visited different cities and found that this is not a

problem of a single city, this is a big problem occurring in every city of India, then the

question comes in the mind that why no one is thinking about this big problem. Then I got

this idea that why don’t I do a proper research on this and then I started meeting different

workers like construction workers, labourers. When I met them, I found that they are also

suffering from this, they said that they don’t get work continuously, some day there is work

and some day they don’t get any work and sometimes they get work but they don’t get proper

remuneration.

After that, I also did a research in different society that if any common man needs a worker

for a small work related to construction, carpentry, cleaning etc then, how they get workers

then, I found that they have to ask someone for it or, they have to go to market to find them

or, they have to ask a broker who arranges the worker for them but they also take their huge

16
brokerage which is costly for them and they can't do anything because, it is necessary for

them due to which they also remain troubled.

After these researches, the idea of Mazdoor Help came in my mind and I started to do

another research that how can I help them so that the problem of both (workers, employers)

can be solved, then the idea of Mazdoor Help came up that there should be a proper

platform where, both workers and employers can find each other.

17
