Performance Task Instructions: Professional Document Portfolio

You will create a Professional Document Portfolio that shows your ability to write clear,
formal, and workplace-appropriate documents. This task will help you practice how
professionals apply for jobs and communicate in a business setting.

Your Task

Imagine that you are a job applicant and junior professional, meaning a fresh graduate or
entry-level applicant, applying for a position in a company or organization. You must prepare
the required documents following proper professional writing conventions, format, and tone,
suitable for your target job and audience.

Required Documents (ALL are required):

1. Professional Résumé
o Must be tailored to a specific job position.
o Includes personal information, skills, education, and relevant experiences.
o Written clearly, formally, and professionally.
2. Application Letter
o Must follow business letter format.
o Clearly states the job you are applying for.
o Explains why you are qualified for the position.
o Uses polite, formal, and professional language.

Format and Submission Guidelines

Use A4 size bond paper only.


All documents must be neatly printed or clearly handwritten.
Arrange the documents in proper order.
Secure the papers using a paper clip.
Place all documents properly inside a short white folder.
Make sure the portfolio is clean, organized, and presentable.
