Job Description of Unity3D Engineer for Turing - USA
Title: Unity3D Engineer
Location: Boston, MA, USA
Job Description:
We are looking for a Software Engineer specializing in Unity 3D to design, develop, and
optimize interactive simulations and visualization systems using the Unity game engine. In
this role, you will build high-performance, real-time environments and toolchains that power
simulations, digital twins, and data-driven visualization experiences. You will collaborate with
cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, visually rich, and technically robust interactive
solutions.
Key Responsibilities
● Design, prototype, and implement interactive applications, simulations, or visualization
systems using Unity 3D.
● Develop and maintain game engine components, including rendering pipelines, physics
systems, animation controllers, and UI frameworks.
● Collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers to build real-time environments that
balance visual quality and computational performance.
● Integrate external data sources, APIs, or hardware systems (e.g., sensors, robotics, or
AR/VR devices) into Unity-based applications.
● Optimize Unity scenes, scripts, and assets for runtime efficiency, scalability, and cross-
platform deployment.
● Ensure high-quality standards by performing code reviews, testing, and debugging
across multiple build targets.
● Maintain clear, structured documentation for systems, APIs, and user-facing tools.
Requirements
● 3+ years of hands-on experience in Unity 3D for game engine development, simulation
design, or visualization systems.
● Proven ability to build interactive or immersive applications across platforms (PC,
WebGL, mobile, or AR/VR).
● Familiarity with physics simulation, animation, and real-time rendering principles.
● Experience integrating Unity with external systems (e.g., REST APIs, databases, IoT
devices, or machine learning models).
● Understanding of performance profiling, optimization, and multithreaded execution within
Unity.
● Knowledge of version control systems and collaborative development workflows.
● Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate abstract concepts into functional
3D applications.
● Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a cross-disciplinary team
environment.
