ABSTRACT
This project presents the design and development of an AI-Powered Food
Ordering System that functions as an intelligent virtual waiter. The system is
capable of providing personalized menu recommendations, dietary filtering,
and order placement through a conversational interface. With the rising
demand for contactless and personalized dining solutions, this application
aims to simplify the ordering process by offering instant, AI-driven guidance
tailored to individual dietary needs (e.g., Vegan, Spicy). The intelligence
behind the system is powered by the Mistral 7B model running locally via
Ollama, which enables human-like understanding of complex food queries.
The backend is developed using Python and FastAPI, while the frontend
utilizes [Link] to facilitate seamless interaction between the user and the AI.
Unlike static digital menus, this system adapts to real-time user queries (e.g.,
"I want something spicy without meat") and updates the cart based on intent.
