UNIT 2: I ALWAYS GET UP EARLY. HOW ABOUT YOU?


Period 10: Lesson 2 – 4, 5, 6

I. Objectives
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
- Use name of daily routines to improve listening and writing skills.
- Play games “Crossword puzzle”.

A. BASIC ACTIVITIES
+ Warm - up: Ask and answer the questions

S1: What do you do in the morning/ afternoon/ evening?


S2: I do morning exercise.
S1: How often do you .....?
S2: I ..............
- Ss practice in pairs.

- Introduce the sections (kind of exercises) that will study.


- Ss listen to the teacher.
B. PRACTICE
1. Listen and number

Act 1: Speak out the name of activities in picture a,b,c,d.


Act 2: Play the tape twice, Ss listen carefully.
Act 3: Compare the answers with a partner.

Act 4: Show the correct answers.


(1c; 2a; 3b; 4d)
Act 5: Ss listen the third and speak out all sentences from the tape.
2. Write about your daily routines
- Ask Ss to read the title. Explain some questions if necessary.

Act 1: Group guider gives the tasks.
Act 2: Read questions in silence.
Act 3: Group guider guides his/ her members to write the answers in their
notebook.

Act 4: Go around to help poor groups. Give the points for somes Ss.
Act 5: Ss remark if necessary.
C. FREE- PRACTICE
1. Training lesson

- Ss play games: Do the crossword puzzle.


Act 1: Group guider gives the tasks of members.
Act 2: Complete the puzzle.
Act 3: Compare the answers together.
- Go around the class to help not good Ss.
2. Sharing lesson
Ss can use special questions to talk about daily routines.

* The usage of “DOES” in Present simple sentence.


- Give example:
+ She does not do exercises in the morning.
+ He doesn’t watch TV in the afternoon.
+ Does he always get up early?
 Yes, he does. / No, he doesn’t.
- Give the form.
S: she, he, it, CN số ít
S + does + not + V-infi + O
does not = doesn’t
(Wh) + Does + S + V-infi + O?
Yes, S + does.
No, S + doesn’t.
