 Is the information true? (‫)هل المعلومات صحيحة؟‬

 Did I make anything up? (‫)هل قمت بتأليف شيء؟‬
 Is my source reliable? (‫)هل المصدر موثوق؟‬

👉 This helps them avoid writing fiction or guessing.

3. What Non-Fiction Writing Should Include

1. Past Tense (most common for stories)

 Why? Because most stories tell about events that already happened.
 Examples:
o Ali walked to the park.
o She saw a puppy and picked it up.
 Signal words: yesterday, last week, once upon a time, long ago.

👉 This is the best tense for fiction stories (narratives) because it feels natural and traditional.

✨ 2. Present Tense (for action and excitement)

 Why? Sometimes writers use present tense to make the story feel like it’s happening
now.
 Examples:
o Ali walks to the park.
o She sees a puppy and picks it up.
 Signal words: today, now, suddenly, at this moment.

👉 This tense makes the story more dramatic and immediate.

✨ 3. Future Tense (less common, but possible)

 Why? Used when the story is about what will happen.
 Examples:
o Ali will walk to the park tomorrow.
o She will see a puppy and take it home.

👉 This is rare in storytelling, but can be used for predictions or science-fiction.
