POLYGRAPH TEST REPORT

CASE SUMMARY:
This case concerns a stabbing incident that transpired inside the State University of Northern
Negros, specifically at the CCJE Building, on December 1, 2025 at around 4:00 PM.
Investigation revealed that at about 1:00 PM on the same date, during a class session, a
heated argument occurred between Mr. Bil Bryan Sumalinog, a student of the State
University of Northern Negros, and his professor, Mr. Joseph Geronimo. After the altercation,
Mr. Sumalinog was called inside the professor’s office at the CCJE Building, and it was there
that he allegedly stabbed his professor..
However, the subject denied having any knowledge and involvement in the stabbing incident under
investigation.
PURPOSE:
The purpose of the examination is to determine whether or not the subject has any knowledge of,
participation in, or connivance with anybody regarding the case under investigation.
PROCEDURE:
After explaining the case, the purpose, the instrument capability, and procedure, he voluntarily
submitted to the polygraph examination as attested by the enclosed consent to a polygraph
examination.
The examiner observed the standards set by the Philippine Polygraph Examination policy and the
American Society for Testing and Material (ASTM). These standards include the following:
1. The examiner must be a college graduate, has a good moral character, training in polygraphy and
scientific interrogation.
2. The instrument must record at least three (3) systems of the human body: Respiratory (breathing)
tracing, electro-dermal (sweating) tracing, and cardiovascular (blood pressure, blood volume and
pulse beat) tracing.
3. The examination must be asked with exclusive control questions, done with
acquaintance/stimulation test and at least two (2) comparison question technique (control and
relevant questions) charts.
4. Results will be released based on the numerical scoring.
Take note that during the examination, the following relevant questions were asked to Mr. Bil Bryan
B. Sumalinog, and his answers were “NO”.
1. Were you the one who took the scissors from the top of the teacher's desk
before he was stabbed?
2. Were you the one who stabbed and killed the teacher inside the his private
office?
3. Were you the last person who was with the Teacher before he was killed?
FINDINGS:
Mr. Bil Bryan B. Sumalinog' polygraph test chart recordings showed strong and consistent reactions
to the aforementioned relevant questions indicating a DECEPTIVE response.
POST- INTERROGATION:
When the interrogation was conducted on the deceptive subject and still, denial for any involvement
was elicited, the investigator submits the report to the concerned agency.
REMARKS:
This is privileged communication. This office reserves the right to dispose of the copy of these reports
after one year provided the office concerned had all the results and findings of the cases forwarded for
examination request.
