🌟 14-Day Public Speaking Module

Duration per day: 45–60 minutes


Outcome: Confidence, clarity, voice control, structure, and stage presence
Finale: Solo performance or speech on Day 14

DAY 1 – Breaking the Fear & Understanding Voice

Goal: Comfort with your own voice

Exercise 1: Voice Awareness (10 mins)


​ •​ Stand straight.
​ •​ Say your name 3 times:
​ 1.​ Soft
​ 2.​ Normal
​ 3.​ Loud (not shouting)
​ •​ Notice pitch, clarity, comfort.

Example:
“My name is Aarav.”
Try changing tone without changing words.

Exercise 2: Mirror Introduction (15 mins)


​ •​ Stand in front of a mirror.
​ •​ Speak for 30 seconds:
​ •​ Name
​ •​ One thing you love
​ •​ One thing you fear about speaking

Rule: No stopping. Even if you forget, keep talking.

Reading Passage

“The voice you hear inside your head is not the voice the world hears. The world hears courage
before perfection.”

Read slowly. Then once again with confidence.


DAY 2 – Breath Control & Pauses

Goal: Speaking without rushing

Exercise 1: Belly Breathing (10 mins)

​ •​ Inhale for 4 counts
​ •​ Hold for 2
​ •​ Exhale for 6
​ •​ Repeat 8 times

Exercise 2: Pause Practice (15 mins)

Read this aloud, pausing at the slashes:

“I stood there / unsure / but hopeful / knowing that sometimes / silence / speaks louder than
words.”

Application

Say one sentence and pause for 2 seconds before the next.

DAY 3 – Articulation & Clear Speech

Goal: Clarity of words

Exercise 1: Mouth Warm-ups (10 mins)

​ •​ Stretch lips wide → narrow
​ •​ Roll tongue around teeth

Exercise 2: Tongue Twisters (15 mins)

Say slowly → then faster:

Reading Passage

“Clarity is not about speed. It is about intention.”

DAY 4 – Volume & Energy

Goal: Being heard without shouting

Practice Tip

Strong voice comes from breath, not throat.

DAY 5 – Body Language Basics

Goal: Speaking with the body

Exercise 2: Gesture Practice (15 mins)

Say this while using natural hand movement:

DAY 6 – Facial Expression & Eye Contact
