This activity provides consciousness and awareness among the

residence of the barangay to take good care of the holy place of
prayer. It also developed social responsibilities to those who
participated in the event.

responsibilities given to her as a challenge for her to promote the Girl

LEARNING GAINED FROM THE PROJECT

 CGSMS taught me a lot of lesson how to be a responsible and
how to be diligent. I realized that helping others is a true definition of
love. I also learned how to stand by my own not to quit easily, how to
manage a problem and how to survive with your own. I became a
independent women by the help of Girl Scout’s. We can help Mother
Earth by this project like beautifying the surroundings in my own
little way.

Learning new things is fun like Girl Scout’s, you can gain some
new friends and new tita like tita Lany and tita Bing. You can gain
confidence even you can experience hardship in this challenge but at
the end you can realized that taking new challenge is a lesson that you
can add from your unforgettable experience.

New experience is a golden opportunity so grab it, take it and

pursue it, because golden opportunity is a rare one. Always remember
that ‘QUITTER NEVER WIN, WINNER NEVER QUIT’

HOW IT BEGAN
In 1975 the program Division of the Girl Scout’s of the
Philippines designed the Chief Girl Scout Medal Scheme under the
aegis of the program of the committee. It was approved by the Central
Board and circularized to the field on July 6, 1976 under NHQ
Circular No. 18

The Chief Girl Scout’s outstanding project and program towards

national development at the time served to provide direction and
inspiration for the evolvement of the Scheme.

The Chief Girl Scout Medal Scheme highlights the Girl Scout’s
role in nation building as exemplified by the Chief Girl Scout and her
distinguished leadership and vital contribution to nation building.
Under the GSP charter, Executive order 267, the Woman President of
the Philippines or the First Lady shall be the chief Girl Scout of the
Girl Scout of the Philippines.

The senior Girl Scout from Visayas Region were the first
recipients of the chief Girl Scout Medal. The first presentation
ceremony was held in 1977 at the GSP Auditorium, Manila.

It took another two years before the Scheme finally took off on a
nationwide scale. In 1978 there was only two awardees and in 1979
again another two girls received the medal. It was only in 1980 when
29 girls from four regions were presented their medals at the
ceremony held at Camp Conception R. Gonzales, Novaliches, Quezon
City.

In the span of twenty-six years (1976-20028) 2, 823 Senior Girl

Scouts and Candidates hav worked on the Scheme and been awarded
the Chief Girl Scout Medal. Among the medalists, we can now
proudly count several lawyer, doctor, teachers, business executive,
nurses, outstanding leaders, and others in their chosen field.
 The Scheme is continually reviewed and evaluated. Its content
are visited and updated to suit the current needs of the girls in
particular, and the changing demands of the society in general.

Today, as more and more Senior Girl Scout’s undertake the

Chief Girl Scout Medal Scheme, the role of the Girl Scouts in national
development are highlighted and widely recognized.

PLANS FOR SUSTAINING THE PROJECT

 My Plans For Sustaining The Project Are:
1st – visit my project every Sunday
2nd – bring out my friends and neighbors to go to
Church every Sunday at the same time will have a
clean up drive.
3 rd – lastly does what I think is perfect just what I
do
to make this project right, because everything I’ve
done is a will of my desire! A desire of helping

to withstand what I have started.

I am Gryka Lorraine A. Pacudan, a CHIEF GIRL SCOUTS

ASPIRANT. Since elementary I joined in GSP Encampment, because
my parents are very supportive in what I am doing because they trust
me a lot.
When our troop leader told us that we will have a School
Camping on December 21-22, 2022. We are all excited because this is
the first time that we will attend the School Camping at Lantapan
National High School. Attending School Camp was fun, I meet new
friends.
Joining the School Camp was the best day ever because we
joined the mass on December 22, 2022 at Nuestra Seniora De
Guadalupe Parish. We experience a lot of things like bon fire, and the
Scouts On.
In Girl Scout I learned many things which I did not learned in
my ordinary daily activities, through Girl Scouting it molded me to
become more responsible and better person as well.

PACUDAN as a Chief Girl Scout of the Philippines, Lantapan
National High School, Balila, Lantapan, Bukidnon. This endorsement
is evidence by her intimate desire to put up CGSMS project. In this
connection, I will humbly support her to realize in establishing a
worthy project that will be used by the community people.

This project will promote awareness and consciousness

among the constituents of the Barangay to take good care of the

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

My project is all about “ECOLOGY: BEAUTIFICATION &

CHAPEL IMPROVEMENT” I chose to implement this project in our
chapel- Mother of Perpetual Help because one time when I attended
the mass, I noticed the poop of the goat inside the chapel, the
surroundings was very bare. I told my troop leader about the plan that
I had in my mind. I started my project with the help of my troop
leader, purok/ chapel president, some friends, Barangay Kagawad and
Barangay Kapitan. I want to fulfill my interest in life like landscaping
the area, planting more flowers. I really need to help our chapel,
beautify it and improve it so that many people can attend the mass.
We are the daughter/son of the God , we do something which is
pleasant in the eye of our Almighty God. We can prove our self to
others that we can be a good model to the other young people. Trough
this project we can inspire others.
