Refinery Simulation: Pre-Flash & CDU Process

The document outlines the simulation of a pre-flash tower and atmospheric crude column for a 100,000 bbl/day refinery using a blend of two crude oils. It provides detailed specifications for feed streams, preflash tower, atmospheric crude tower, and side strippers, including temperature, pressure, flow rates, and product specifications. The objective is to recover various distillate products while adhering to specified ASTM standards.

Refinery Workshop

Objective:

To perform simulation of pre-flash tower and atmospheric crude column for 100,000
bbl/day refinery. The crude feed is a blend of two crude oils viz. Oil-1 and Oil-2 and are
mixed in the proportion of 20:80 volume basis. The raw crude feed is first fed to Pre-
flash Tower to recover the Light-ends & Naphtha as top product and the bottoms stream
goes to the atmospheric crude column (CDU). In CDU, the middle distillates products -
Heavy Naphtha, Kerosene, Diesel, Atmospheric Gas Oil (AGO) are separated and
Reduced crude as the Bottom stream.
