Do’s and Don’ts
1. Always shut down your computer properly before leaving the
Do laboratory
2. Always save your assignments/programs, etc. in the specified
location/drive.
3. Login to the computers using “Student”
4. In case of any technical problem, contact technical staff immediately.
1. Do not use mobile phones in the laboratory
2. Do not use pen drives/external hard disks in the computers of the
laboratory without permission
3. Do not touch the wires connected to the computers
Do not 4. Do not save your files in the Desktop
5. Do not switch off without performing proper “shutdown” of computer.
6. Do not eat, drink or smoke while inside the laboratory.
7. Do not carry bags/personal belongings at your computer table during
lab classes
8. Do not perform any unauthorized experiments/try to access
unauthorized network locations.
Safety Norms and Precautions
1. Do not touch any electrical socket when power is on
2. Do not touch/change any network settings/components
3. Read fire safety rules and regulations and follow instructions
in case of emergency.
Do not 4. Know the location of emergency stairs and use of fire preventive
equipment
5. Avoid using extension cords, if possible. In case necessary, it should
be safely installed and electrically grounded and should not run
across aisles/hung from ceilings
Course Policies
1. Attendance
Attendance is compulsory. Please be respectful to your classmates by being
on time. Cell phones should be turned off or in silent mode.
2. Team Work
You may need to divide responsibility and collaborate as a team to solve
some of the assignments.
3. Plagiarism
As a group, collaboration is necessary; however, the lab report submitted as a
group must be solely the work of your own team. Sharing written work
beforehand is considered as academic dishonesty. Any information that you use
from other sources should be properly acknowledged in bibliography/references.
4. Disability Support
If you have a disabling condition which may interfere with your ability to
successfully complete this module, please contact Faculty in charge
5. Make-up Classes
Make-up for a missing class will not be offered, normally. The only exceptions to
that are
illness or emergency, in which case you may contact your faculty in charge. In all
cases, be
connected with your group and work as a team.
6. Micro Project
As per policy you have to perform at least one micro project in this lab. Micro
project should be preferably innovative and lab oriented.
7. Beyond Syllabus
As per policy you have to perform at least one beyond the syllabus
assignments to be selected from the list of available assignments in this
category.

results/output, discussion and conclusion
Attendance [5%]
Attentiveness in class, participation in group activities in the project, etc.
Design & Implementation [20%]
Assessment based on methodology/algorithm/datastructure and how to
implement these to solve the problems as well as micro-project given in the
lab.
Assessment during end semester examination
Output/Result [20%]
Problems are allotted to a student randomly on lottery basis during
examination time and problems are assigned which they have to complete
within stipulated time.
Answer script [20%]
Answer scripts will be evaluated based on the problem assigned to the student and
his/her level of understanding, analyzing and designing a solution.
Viva [20%]
There is a viva-voce during examination time.

Assignment No.:1
Topic: Concepts Of Operators & Expression-I
Objective: To get familiar with basic operators and expressions used in C-programming
language.
1. Satisfy of Bloom’s Taxonomy
2. Achieve PO1, PO2, PO3 and PO12 of Program Outcomes.
Theory: The symbols which are used to perform logical and mathematical operations in a
C program are called C operators.
These C operators join individual constants and variables to form expressions.
Operators, functions, constants and variables are combined together to form
expressions.
