Vendor Classification Management Guide

Vendor Classification

The Vendor Classification screen is used to define classifications under the vendor category to
manage vendor groups based on their business type or services.

Add New Record

Select Procurement > Setup > Vendor Setup - Vendor Classification and a screen called Vendor
Classification will appear.

 Click the button from the toolbar to enter the vendor classification details such as
Name, Short Name and other required fields.

 On clicking this button, an Vendor Classification entry screen will appear on the right side of
the desktop, as shown below.

 Make the necessary entries as explained below.


1) Name
Enter the vendor classification name. This is used to group vendors into types such as Premium
Vendor, Regular Vendor etc. Based on these classifications, wastage or stone rates can also be
defined if needed.

2) Short Name
Enter the short code for the classification. This will be used in dropdowns and reports for quick
identification.

3) Vendor Category
Select the vendor category to which this classification belongs.

 The categories available for selection are entered through Procurement > Setup > Vendor
Setup > Vendor Category.

 Only the categories for which Is Active is checked will be available for selection in this field.

4) Active
Enable or disable the vendor classification. Only active classifications will appear in Vendor Master
and related reports.

 After entering the required details, click the button to save the
information you have entered.

 On clicking this button, the vendor classification details you have defined will be displayed in
the main screen.

Edit Record

 Check the Sl No of the row for which you want to modify the data, as shown below.

 Click the button from the toolbar to edit the details that were previously defined
through the same screen. On clicking this button, several options such as Edit, Delete, Export,
and Export All will be available for selection.

 Select the option to modify data that you have entered previously.
The Vendor Classification screen will then open for editing the details.

 Make the necessary changes and click the button to update the
data in the Vendor Classification screen.

Delete Record

 Check the Sl No of the row for which you want to delete the data, as shown below.

 Click the button from the toolbar to delete the details that were previously defined
through the same screen. On clicking this button, several options such as Edit, Delete, Export,
and Export All will be available for selection.

 Select the option to delete the data that you have entered previously.
A Confirmation screen will appear for deleting the data as shown below.

 The selected row will be displayed in Selected Items grid.

 Click on the button to delete the data.

Export Data

 Check the Sl No of the row for which you want to export the data, as shown below.

 Click the button from the toolbar to export the details to an excel sheet. On clicking
this button, several options such as Edit, Delete, Export, and Export All will be available for
selection.
 Select the option to export data to an excel sheet.

To export all available data to an Excel sheet, then select the Export All option from the list.
