Preparations before
underground work
1, need to verify
whether the battery
power is sufficient,
and exclude the
possibility of
abnormal battery
protection function,
it is recommended to
replace the battery
known to be in good
condition for
troubleshooting.
2, you should open
the top cover of the
distribution box of
the cable car,
carefully check
whether there is
water damage inside
the corrosion, burnt
or broken wires and
other abnormal
conditions.
3, after the battery
is connected, use a
multimeter to measure
the voltage of the
battery input
connector on the
bottom plate of the
cable car to confirm
whether it is in
normal working
condition.
4, also need to
remove the battery
input interface on
the bottom plate of
the cable car, the
interface connected
to the battery
terminal for voltage
measurement, to
ensure that its
voltage is normal.
5,For the check of
the fuse, it is
recommended that
after removing the
battery, the
resistance value of
both ends of the fuse
should be measured
using the ohm gear of
the multimeter. If
the resistance value
is zero, the fuse is
normal; if the
resistance value is
high or shows
infinity, it
indicates that the
fuse is damaged.
6, after removing the
battery, use the ohms
of the multimeter to
measure the
resistance value
between the 1 foot
and 2 feet of the
interface of the
switch connecting
line cable car
chassis. When the
switch is on, the
resistance value
should be zero; and
when the switch is
off, the resistance
value should be
infinity. If it does
not meet the above
conditions, it
indicates that the
switch is faulty.
Common Troubleshooting Process
1. In the Settings
option of the tablet
device, remove the
connected WIFI
device and re-enter
the password to
restore the
connection.
2. Open the top
cover of the cable

its interior for
abnormal conditions
such as moisture
intrusion,
corrosion, burnt or
disconnected wires.
3. Check whether the
wireless access
point (AP) board is
properly powered on,
either by observing
whether the LED
indicator lights up
or blinks, or by
measuring its
voltage with a
multimeter to
confirm.
4. Check whether the
connection between
the wireless access
point (AP) board and
the main board of
the cable car is
solid, and check
whether the
interface and pins
are corroded by
water, deformed, or
dirt accumulated.
Common Troubleshooting Process
1. If the cable
cannot be extracted
manually, or
requires significant
force to extract,
check the cable tray
for deformation,
damage, or snagging,
and for tangled,
knotted, or stressed
cables. 2.
2. Check the cable
reel chain to make
sure it is not
loose, broken,
detached or jammed.
3. listen for the
sound of the cable
motor rotating
during the electric
spooling process.
4. After
disconnecting the
clutch cable,
measure for 48 volts
at the clutch
connector on the
cable car's drive
plate during
motorized take-up.
5. Measure for 48
volts at the power
input connector on
the cable car driver
board.
6. Check for broken
or shorted wires
between the cable
car driver board and
the cable car's base
plate, including the
two-wire power
supply and three-
wire communication
wires.
Common Troubleshooting Process
1. Please check
whether the
metre counting
wheel is blocked
by foreign
objects, worn
out, resulting
in poor contact
or deformation
damage.
2. Please check
whether the
encoder and its
electrical
connecting wires
are corroded by
water, broken or
disconnected.
3. Please make
sure whether the
current
distance,
accumulated
distance and
meter counting
data in the
video frame are
displayed
normally in the
control
software.
Common Troubleshooting Process
[Link] turning on
the device and
ensuring that the
device is powered on,
you need to check
whether the head has
executed the self-
test program for
rotation and tilt.
2, turn off the
equipment and
disconnect the power
supply, disassemble
the gimbal and
lifting frame, and
install the gimbal
directly to the
chassis and connect
the aerial plug of
the lifting frame.
3, need to carefully
check the chassis
aerial plug and
chassis internal
whether there is
water corrosion, poor
contact or broken
broken wire and other
problems.
4, the lifting frame
aerial plug and
lifting frame
internal inspection,
to confirm whether
there is water
corrosion, poor
contact or broken
broken wire and other
issues.
5, the elevating
frame serpentine wire
inspection, to ensure
that there is no
broken broken wire,
and use a multimeter
to detect the
serpentine wire ends
whether there is a
broken wire or short-
circuit phenomenon.
6. Measure the line
between the head
aerial plug and the
main control board of
the elevating frame
to make sure there is
no broken wire or
short circuit.
7. After power on and
power on, check
whether the PTZ
movement performs the
self-test action of
lens up and down.
8. Measure the
interface connecting
the movement on the
tail plate of the
head to ensure that
there is 12V power
supply, and check
whether the movement
connecting line is
intact without broken
wires.
9, measure the head
sliding ring line and
the head main board
connection line,
confirm that there is
no broken wire and
short circuit.
Matters need attention
1. After completing the treatment of the pipe openings and manhole covers, the equipment should be
moved to the best construction site and ensure an appropriate safe distance from the pipe openings.
2. Before using the equipment, it is essential to check whether the pan-tilt lock knob, lift frame
lock screw, and the connection between the crawler and the cable car are securely fastened. It is
recommended to perform this check before each pipe operation.
3. The screws on the cable connector pin at the rear of the vehicle body should be checked for any
loosening or detachment, as the loss of the cable connector pin could lead to the loss of the
operation part inside the pipe (including the pan-tilt, lift frame, and vehicle body).
4. Before each entry into the pipe for operation, the locking condition of the tires must be rechecked
to prevent them from detaching during operation inside the pipe.
5. When opening or closing manhole covers, operate with care to avoid crushing toes.
6. Considering the weight of the equipment, extra attention should be paid to foot safety when placing
the equipment to prevent accidental falls into the well.
7. Before construction, people around should be evacuated in advance, and isolation facilities should
be set up to delineate the appropriate construction area to prevent traffic accidents or other
incidents.
8. Before the equipment is lowered into the well for operation, the right-angle pulley and wellhead
pulley assembly should be equipped to prevent the cable from being damaged or ruptured.
9. While operating inside the vehicle pipe, the environmental conditions inside the pipe should be
closely monitored. Once the "tip-over warning" appears on the platform, operations should be
immediately stopped to avoid the vehicle tipping over or falling into a hidden well.
10. When disassembling and assembling equipment components, live operation is strictly prohibited. The
power of the cable car must be turned off first to prevent damage to the circuit board.
11. When installing or removing equipment, attention should be paid to keeping the interface parts
clean, and an appropriate amount of lubricant (such as grease, etc.) should be applied to each
component interface to avoid difficulty in inserting the interface or damage to the O-ring.
12. When the equipment is not in use, it is recommended to store the battery separately and ensure it
is kept away from flammable materials.
Daily maintenance
1. During the use of the device, the cables should be kept clean and dry, and any dirt on the cables
should be removed. This helps maintain the hygiene inside the cable car, reduce pollution to the
reciprocating screw, prevent blockages in the measuring wheel and the measuring lower wheel, thus
ensuring smooth cable output and accurate measurement.
2. After the completion of pipeline inspection tasks, the equipment's underground operation parts
(including the turret, lifting frame, and vehicle body) should be thoroughly rinsed with clean water.
After cleaning, they should be wiped dry with a towel or allowed to air dry naturally before being
stored in the equipment box. Regular cleaning of the equipment can effectively prevent corrosion
caused by mud, debris, sand, and oil污 on the vehicle body.
3. The cable tail connector and the crawler tail connector should not be kept connected for a long
time. If dirt or mold and corrosion are found, clean with a cotton swab dipped in a small amount of
alcohol, and do not use water for cleaning.
4. The stains on the cable car surface can be removed by wiping with a damp towel, but it is strictly
prohibited to directly flush the cable car with water, and at the same time, the cable car should be
prevented from being exposed to rainwater.
