behavior, our relationships, and even the values we're passing on to the next generation. I’m
talking about the normalization of violence on social media and how it's affecting our society.
This problem is important because the content we consume every day influences our
thoughts and actions, even if we don’t notice it. When violent behavior becomes
entertainment, society slowly loses empathy, sensitivity, and the ability to resolve conflicts in a
healthy way.
The normalization of violence means that people begin to see aggressive actions as
something common or acceptable. On platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and even
WhatsApp, it's easy to find videos of students fighting, people insulting each other, or adults
reacting with aggression.
There are some causes behind this problem. First, many young people imitate what they see
online. When violent videos get millions of views, likes, and comments, others try to repeat the
same behavior to gain attention.
Second, many influencers and urban music artists show aggressive behavior, bad language,
and violent attitudes as part of their image. Young people see them as role models, so they
copy what they do.
Third, our environment also affects us. The place where we grow up, the people around us,
and what we see every day influence our behavior and our beliefs.
Fourth, there is a strong culture of violence in our society, and many people think it's
“normal.” There is also a lack of education about respect.

The consequences can be very serious. Many young people may attack others without guilt or

Young people should learn to question the violent content they see online, and they shouldn’t
repeat it in real life. Influencers must be more careful with what they promote, and they
mustn’t use violence just to get views.
Parents have to guide their children on how to use social media, but many parents don’t have
to take that responsibility seriously.
If we work together, we could reduce violence in our communities, and things might slowly get
better. We ought to support positive content, and the government may create new rules to
protect young people on social media.
